Emily VanCamp is Agent 13 in Captain America: Civil War

Captain America: Civil War continues to stack itself with supporting players, with Deadline reporting that Emily VanCamp will return as “Kate” AKA Agent 13.

Last seen in The Winter Soldier, the character proved to be a reliable ally for Steve Rogers. Presumably she will be Team Cap when the battle lines are drawn between he and Tony Stark in the new film…

It’s also worth noting that in the comic books, Agent 13 is actually Sharon Carter, the niece of Cap’s lost love, Peggy Carter. Whether that fact is revealed in Civil War remains to be seen, but it’s a nice subplot for the writers to potentially turn to.

Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo and introducing franchise newcomers Martin Freeman, Daniel Bruhl and Chadwick Boseman, Captain America: Civil War will open in the UK on 29 April 2016 and the US on 6 May 2016.
