The first trailer has appeared online for Daddy’s Home in which The Other Guys co-stars Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg re-team as a pair of warring father figures competing for the affections of a pair of young children.
Ferrell is the kids’ stepdad, with Wahlberg playing their long-lost biological father, who turns everything on its head when he makes a sudden reappearance into their lives. Cue an ever-more-awkward series of affection-buying gestures, as both men set about fighting for the role of number one dad.

As we’ve seen in the past, Ferrell and Wahlberg make for a great double act, with the latter given free rein to go full douchebag as the most abrasive third wheel imaginable. Directed by Sean Ander and co-starring Linda Cardellini, Thomas Haden Church and Alessandra Ambrosio, Daddy’s Home will open in the US on Christmas Day and the UK on Boxing Day.
