New Assassin's Creed movie footage revealed in E3 promo

E3 is currently in full swing, and while there is no new Assassin's Creed game coming this year Ubisoft and 20th Century Fox revealed a new behind-the-scenes look at the upcoming movie adaptation. Featuring interviews with star Michael Fassbender and director Justin Kurzel as well as some fresh footage, it's more evidence that the film looks to be in safe hands.

Check it out below...

Aside from a first look at characters played by Brendan Gleeson and Michael K. Williams the new footage gives us multiple glimpses of the film's various set pieces, which Fassbender teases are "massive". Indeed, the fighting styles used in the game look to have been accurately transferred here, and that should please fans of the popular video game series (as will terms like 'Bleeding Effect'). The more I see from this one the more optimistic I get, so here's hoping the footage we've seen so far is an accurate snapshot of the final film.

Directed by Justin Kurzel and starring Michael Fassbender, Marion Cotillard, Ariane Labed, Michael K. Williams, Jeremy Irons, and Brendan Gleeson, Assassin's Creed opens in US theatres on December 21, 2016 before being released in UK cinemas on December 26, 2016.
