Cyber Monday PS5 deals 2025: what Sony Savings we expect from this year's sale

Cyber Monday PS5 deals are returning, and soon you'll be able to take advantage of all the Sony savings your heart desires. Once the Black Friday PS5 deals are over and done with this November, retailers like Amazon, Best Buy, and Walmart will be rolling out their Cyber Monday savings on December 1, and judging by last year, there should be plenty of them.
Last year's deals arrived at a particularly interesting time, as the PS5 Pro launched just a month before the savings started flowing. Despite being flashy and new, there were already discounts on the upgraded console and bundles that came with a second controller too. The plentiful deals also extended to games as the likes of Metaphor: ReFantazio, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, and Star Wars Outlaws were pretty new but available with solid discounts at the time. Game savings will be one to watch again later this year, as new PS5 releases like Death Stranding 2 On the Beach and Silent Hill f will be perfect fodder for their first major discounts.
I've been covering Cyber Monday PS5 deals for years, and I'm rounding up everything I've learned in that time below. We've also got a selection of last year's best Cyber Monday PS5 deals, so you can get an idea of what to expect in the coming months. Word to the wise, though – the recent PS5 price hikes will likely make discounts on consoles and console bundles less worthwhile, so I recommend turning your attention to deals on games and accessories for the best bargains when Cyber Monday finally kicks off.
Cyber Monday PS5 deals FAQ
What to expect from Cyber Monday PS5 deals in 2025
The big question on everyone's minds is whether the PS5 itself will see any discounts over Cyber Monday this year. That's because the latest wave of PS5 price hikes in the US has made discounts a bit more complicated. Starting August 21, the disc-edition PS5 Slim now has an $549.99 MSRP in the US (originally $500), and the digital version is now $499.99 (originally $449.99). This means that any console or bundle discounts need to be over $50 at least to be worthwhile, as otherwise you'll be getting a PS5 for its original price, which isn't enough to make a fuss about.
Typically, Cyber Monday hasn't been too exciting for console savings anyway, so it's not a huge deal in that regard. However, it's still worth taking on board if you were expecting to see the console get even cheaper as they're approaching their fifth-year anniversary. We will likely see more stability in cheap PS5 games and savings on the best PS5 accessories. 2024 saw some great discounts during the Black Friday sales, which continued over Cyber Monday. These included record-low price drops on titles like Metaphor: ReFantazio, Dragon Ball Sparking Zero, and even Astro Bot.
This December, there will be plenty of 2025 releases that will be ideal for seeing record lows, including Death Stranding 2 On the Beach, Silent Hill f, and even Ghost of Yotei, which will be over a month old by the time the Cyber Monday deals roll around. When it comes to physical PS5 games, you're gonna see the biggest discounts with the oldest games, so Cyber Monday will be ideal for grabbing any 2024 releases you missed out on during last year's sales.
If you're after extra kit, you'll want to get in there early. Each year there's plenty of discounts on the best PS5 headsets, and these stick around well into Cyber Monday, including savings on cups from well-known brands like Razer and SteelSeries. This year's savings could be especially interesting in that case, as the brand-new Razer BlackShark V3 Pro launched for $249.99 in July, and so this Cyber Monday could be perfect timing for its first discount. As it's still a relatively new headset, any savings won't be large, but any cash shaved off this premium PS5 pair of cups will be worth grabbing.
If you're after something a little controller-sized, you've got plenty of options. The DualSense Edge is far more Sony-aligned, but its $199.99 / £209 MSRP has rarely seen any discounts in the US, and has only dropped £10 off its price in the UK. During 2024's Cyber Monday deals, Walmart dropped $5 off the premium gamepad, so hopefully, we'll see a repeat of this, or even better, an even bigger saving when the Cyber Monday deals kick off.
When will Cyber Monday PS5 deals deals start?
Cyber Monday PS5 deals typically kick off on the first Monday following Black Friday, meaning they will start on December 1 in 2025.

Last year's best Cyber Monday PS5 deals
PS5 Pro with DualSense Controller in Galactic Purple | $849.99 $754.99 at Walmart
Save $95 - Walmart, as always, was the king of Cyber Monday. They had a pretty stellar deal on a PS5 Pro that included a second Dualsense controller in the very pretty color "Galactic Purple" and knocked almost $100 off the total price.
PlayStation VR2 Horizon Call of The Mountain Bundle | $599.99 $349.99 at Amazon
Save over $250 - During last year's sales, this was only the second time I had seen the PSVR 2 drop to $349.99 with Call of the Mountain included. The system usually has a particularly high price tag, but this $350 position felt far more manageable.
UK: £529.99 £339.99 at Amazon
Metaphor: ReFantazio | $69.99 $49.99 at Amazon
Save $20 - All the turn-based combat and social calendar maximizing of Persona with a high fantasy story that wouldn't look out of place in Final Fantasy - what could be better? Well, a record-low $49.99 sales price in Amazon's Cyber Monday PS5 deals, like we saw last year.
UK: £59.99 £34.49 at Amazon
Dragon Ball Sparking Zero | $69.99 $49.94 on Amazon
Save $20 - Fewer shows lend themselves better to an anime fighter than Dragon Ball, and that's the case with Sparking Zero. The record-low price we saw during last year's Black Friday continued into last year's Cyber Monday, so you still had plenty of time to pick this up.
UK: £69.99 £48.22 at Amazon
Hitman: World of Assassination | $39.99 $29.99 at Amazon
Save $10 - The Hitman series gives us some of the modern era's great stealth games, and World of Assassination is a three-fer that brings all the recent trilogy into one game - before then shaving 25% off the top during last year's Cyber Monday deals to bring it down to its lowest price.
UK: £44.99 £21.99
Sony DualSense | $74.99 $54 at Amazon
Save $20 - Cyber Monday often proves to be a good time to pick up a PS5 controller, and last year was no different. We had seen it cheaper in previous sales, though a permanent price increase likely explains why the discount isn't as large. Still, if you were looking to leap, this was likely as good as you'll get.
UK: £69.99 £39.99 at Amazon
Sony DualSense Edge controller | $199.99 $194.99 at Walmart
Save $5 - A saving of five bucks might not be the most exciting at a glance, though during Cyber Monday, it was a rarity you didn't want to pass up if you're looking to get this beefed-up controller for less.
UK: £209.99 £179.97 at Amazon
We're also getting you prepped for this year's Cyber Monday Nintendo Switch deals and all the Cyber Monday gaming PC deals to expect as well. Or, if you're between factions, take a look at the Cyber Monday Xbox deals we anticipate for 2025.
