After Marvel Studios hit the big leagues with its interconnected cinematic universe, it seemed a long shot for its TV division to achieve that same level of success. Then along came Daredevil. A stark contrast to the movieverse, it blew everyone away with an adult tone that brought the violence and darkness of Hell's Kitchen onto the screen like never before.
It doesn't end with Daredevil; the Marvel-Netflix deal includes a total of five shows. Jessica Jones knocked it out of the park when it hit the streaming service in November, soon to be followed by Luke Cage, Iron Fist and the team-up series The Defenders. Due to the phenomenal success of Daredevil and Jessica Jones, they've both received the go-ahead for second seasons, which makes it tricky to guess when the other trio of shows will debut.
One thing's for certain: they are happening, and thanks to Collider we've now got a glimpse at the first loglines and title cards for each of the shows (in the gallery above). The images hail from Netflix where all of the series each have their own entries. There's no major surprises in the scant descriptions, as the site states they're likely just placeholders, but they're a reminder of what's to come in this unexpectedly gripping corner of the Marvel universe.
Starring Charlie Cox, Elden Henson, Deborah Ann Woll and Jon Bernthal, Daredevil season 2 arrives on Netflix March 18. Luke Cage is expected to drop sometime later this year, Iron Fist is currently casting, and The Defenders is still in development.
