Minecraft creator harshly criticizes EA over their "indie bundle"

While we were mostlyamusedby EA's attempts to pass themselves off as an "indie" company, not everybody was quite so amused. Markus Persson, aka Notch of Mojang, took to Twitter after the announcement to make sure his fans knew how he felt about the bundle.

“EA releases an ‘indie bundle’? That’s not how that works, EA,” Persson wrote.. “Stop attempting to ruin everything, you bunch of cynical b*stards." (Censhorship was ours.)

I don’t even call Mojang indie any more," he continued. "Vlambeer is indie. Polytron is indie. Stephen, Ed, Terry, Derek, Tommy and Chris are indie."

"Indies are saving gaming. EA is methodically destroying it,” he concluded.

He also took a moment to criticize reporters for writing about his comments saying, "Twitter quotes are NOT NEWS. You're better than that, and you make me feel dirty." We disagree, Mr. Persson. We disagree. When a major gaming personality openly criticizes (cynical b*stards) one of the largest companies in the business, lots of gamers want to hear about it.
