Louise Blain of Blumhouse Games joins the GamesRadar+ G+RLS podcast as our first guest
The second episode of G+RLS is here and we have our first guest!
Hey everyone, welcome back to G+RLS, the brand new GamesRadar+ podacst that's dedicated to telling the stories of women who game.
We launched just a couple weeks ago, and now we're back with our second episode and our first guest. Louise Blain, creative director at Blumhouse Games, is joining us to talk about horror - obviously - but also her journey into games in the first place, why women love horror, what Blumhouse Games is doing differently, and even a game recommendation or two.
I've known Louise for over a decade now and she never ceases to inspire me, so I hope you enjoy our chat!
Louise Blain is the Creative Director at Blumhouse Games, where she works closely with development partners to bring their creative vision to life, focusing on narrative and world-building. Blain brings her 13+ years of experience in the games industry to Blumhouse Games to seek out and vet potential partners and game ideas. Prior to joining Blumhouse Games, Blain spent over a decade in journalism covering games, horror entertainment, and tech.
And I also wanted to say thanks for all the positive feedback and interactions with the G+RLS podcast so far. Aside from a few expected comments (no, women don't just play Candy Crush men of Facebook), it's been really incredible to see people connecting with what we're trying to do.
This is just the beginning, and I really want this to be a journey we go on together, so do let me know what you think, along with any issues or topics you'd like us to talk about too.
Thanks again listeners!
Join us for a new episode every other Friday and let us know what you'd love to hear us talking about. We're available on YouTube, Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Deezer, and Amazon Music.

Sam Loveridge is the Brand Director and former Global Editor-in-Chief of GamesRadar. She joined the team in August 2017. Sam came to GamesRadar after working at TrustedReviews, Digital Spy, and Fandom, following the completion of an MA in Journalism. In her time, she's also had appearances on The Guardian, BBC, and more. Her experience has seen her cover console and PC games, along with gaming hardware, for a decade, and for GamesRadar, she's in charge of the site's overall direction, managing the team, and making sure it's the best it can be. Her gaming passions lie with weird simulation games, big open-world RPGs, and beautifully crafted indies. She plays across all platforms, and specializes in titles like Pokemon, Assassin's Creed, The Sims, and more. Basically, she loves all games that aren't sports or fighting titles! In her spare time, Sam likes to live like Stardew Valley by cooking and baking, growing vegetables, and enjoying life in the countryside.
