Couch co-op in Big Walk is something that many players will be anticipating or hopeful for, as this multiplayer cooperative game would arguably lend itself to local co-op by definition. However, while it's possible to get a large group of friends together in Big Walk on multiplayer online servers, I'm sorry to say that couch co-op isn't something you should expect from Big Walk right now, as I'll explain below.
Can you play Big Walk couch co-op with friends?
No, Big Walk does not have local or couch co-op mode, only online multiplayer.
That may change in the future, but there's no actual evidence that it will, and in fact developer House House may not include it for specific reasons concerning player communication.
See, much of Big Walk's gameplay and challenge is centered around in-game audio and proximity chat - the idea that players' ability to communicate diminishes the further away their characters are from each other. That isn't just a fun gimmick, but an essential part of the game to be managed and overcome. Playing local co-op, where you can turn around and talk to your friends at any time, would diminish or compromise that element accordingly.
