It may have taken a little while, but Crimson Desert developer Pearl Abyss has finally rectified a niggling problem around how food showed up in your inventory. The latest patch addresses the issue, quelling weeks of unrest from players who were growing weary of the annoyance.
The irritation lies in how the fantasy adventure automatically prioritizes your supplies. Regardless of what you're prepared and collected, low-grade items would wind up in the quick slot for fast usage to replace whatever you've just used. If you just finished a soup that buffed your health, it'd be replaced by some impractical vegetables rather the next hearty meal you were carrying, requiring you to manually place something more useful and nourishing in there instead.
Pearl Abyss has now stamped out this particular bug. "Fixed an issue where an unintended item was assigned to the quick slot after all of the assigned food had been consumed," read the patch notes.
