Charlie Cox ( Stardust ) is set to play Daredevil in the upcoming Marvel and Netflix TV show, Hollywood Reporter confirms . The 13 episode superhero drama will focus on Matt Murdock, blind lawyer by day, crime-fighting hero by night. Cox is the first person cast for the show, with Steven S. DeKnight ( Spartacus, Angel ) confirmed as the new series showrunner. Drew Goddard ( World War Z, Lost ) remains onboard as executive producer.

Producer and screenwriter Simon Kinberg has confirmed that some members of the original X-Men cast will be returning in X-Men: Apocalypse. X-Men: First Class 's James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Nicholas Hoult and Jennifer Lawrence have all previously been linked to the next film. "It will focus primarily on the First Class cast but it will certainly have some of the original cast involved too," Kinberg told The Daily Beast.

The Warcraft movie has finished shooting , director Duncan Jones has announced. The video game adaptation is due to be released in 2016 with stars Paula Patton ( Déjà vu , Mirrors ) and Robert Kazinsky ( Pacific Rim , True Blood ). The film will use a mixture of live-action and CGI. Few details have been released about the film's story but the plot is believed to centre on the origins of the battle between Orcs and humans.

A new photo from the Jurassic World set has been released. Director Colin Trevorrow ( Safety Not Guaranteed ) posted the teaser on his Twitter account. The movie will be released on June 12th, 2015.

John Wesley Shipp - the Flash in the '90s TV show - joins the latest incarnation of the scarlet speedster as Barry Allen’s father in the upcoming Arrow spin off. Shipp will be first seen in the premiere episode of The Flash and is set to have recurring appearances throughout the series. "Given his history with the Flash, Andrew (Kreisberg), Geoff (Johns) and I could only think of one person we wanted to play Barry's father and that was John Wesley Shipp," states executive producer Greg Berlanti. "He gives a fantastic and emotional performance in the pilot, and we are looking forward to his presence in many more episodes."
