When will Black Friday Alienware deals start?
Inline with the rest of this year's sales official discounts will land on November 27. However, that's just the sales with the Black Friday label on them. We see many of the same prices popping up in the weeks leading up to the main event, and often most frequently over Thanksgiving week. That means it's well worth jumping on a price you like ahead of time - competition is lower and you've got more of a shot at that crashing flash sale.
What to look out for in Black Friday Alienware deals
This year's Black Friday Alienware deals are going to look different whichever way you shake it. With new Alienware Area-51 and Aurora gaming PCs and laptops up for grabs it's all change on these shelves.
Black Friday gaming laptop deals will likely be dominated by the Alienware 16 Area-51 as the brand's flagship, but the Alienware 16X Aurora is a serious contender in 2026 as well. Both have been updated to include a pretty unique glare-free OLED display, but the Aurora is going to be top of most players' shopping lists. While prices have been higher in 2026, this is the model I've seen offering the best value in sales so far this year.
The world of PCs is a little more straightforward. The Area-51 is going to be your big-spend. High-end configurations of this rig are some of the most expensive on the market, but that means they also see some of the biggest discounts. If you're going big on a $5,000 RTX 5080 or RTX 5090 rig this is where you'll need to be looking.
More conservative players will be checking out the Alienware Aurora line. This is where you'll find your RTX 5060 Ti and RTX 5070 specs making the most sense, but these price tags are still pretty high compared to the rest of the market.
Is Alienware worth it in 2026?
Alienware is in a tricky position in 2026. Like the rest of the PC gaming market, these laptops and PCs have been hit by rising component costs, costs that have been pushed onto us the consumers. Where Alienware was previously slightly more expensive than its competitors, it's now sitting at a pricing premium in a market already hit with inflated rates.
Is it still going to be worth it? If you know you want an Alienware device for its engineering and aesthetic appeal then yes. The brand has done a lot to keep itself relevant over the last few years, from boosting its already commendable cooling capabilities to upgrading the displays on its gaming laptops with a truly unique glare-free OLED. 2026 has also brought about cheaper alternatives in the brand's Alienware 15 gaming laptop series. These rigs are already performing on par with competitor machines in terms of discount value.
If you've been forced into an upgrade after your old tech has given up on you or you're not particularly fussed about Alienware's engineering and cooling, though, I'd be less inclined to opt for this pricey brand. A new gaming PC or laptop is going to be a particularly costly endeavor in 2026, and starting your hunt from a cheaper brand is going to yield much better value overall.
Does Alienware go on sale on Black Friday?
Dell itself is a regular during annual sales, and Black Friday is no different. In fact, this is where the retailer tends to go bigger than ever before during the year. We regularly see laptops and PCs at significant discounts during these offers.
While many of these price cuts will have likely been matched at one point or another earlier in the year, Black Friday brings them all to the shelves at the same time. That means you've got a wider array of choices for your next upgrade.
