Black Friday Meta Quest deals are going to be very interesting this year, since 2026 has been a bit of a hard year for Meta's Quest devices more generally. We've seen gaming studio closures, workforce layoffs, price hikes, and new competition. But Quest deals are a staple of this event every year, so there's still hope yet if you're looking to grab a new headset or give your existing one a new lease of life.
I'd be surprised if we saw big deals on the VR headsets themselves, but a sure thing is that we'll see discounts on the accessories you can get for them in the run-up to Black Friday. I see these every year, and they're some of the best value gaming hardware offers during deals season. Of course, Meta isn't the only horse in this race, and there are lots of other VR devices you should consider if investing in Meta's ecosystem isn't all that appealing this year. I'll be covering the competition here too, just in case they get better discounts than we expect.

When will Black Friday Meta Quest deals start?
Black Friday falls on November 27 this year, but don't be fooled. I've been covering all sorts of gaming hardware and their deals for years now, and I can tell you that retailers have built Black Friday out into an entire season. Discounts will start appearing in September, then have a peak in October when Amazon holds a Prime Day event, then continue through to November. Sometimes, the best offers come way earlier than Black Friday itself, which is why I'm keeping an eye on the early offers you can get now.
What will Black Friday Meta Quest deals be like in 2026?
I'm going to level with you, it's not been the best year for the Meta Quest devices. The year kicked off with Meta closing its three biggest gaming studios, then laying off a bunch of its Reality Labs workforce (which then repeated throughout the year). To battle the ongoing memory crisis, which is impacting all sorts of technology, as well as the fact that the Quest devices haven't been making a profit, Meta also upped the price of the Quest 3 and 3S.
For that reason, expectations for Black Friday season are low - if we get any discounts on the headsets, it's likely they'll be to the prices we saw before the rise, not anything record-breaking.
What could make things interesting is that Meta Connect is about to take place, and there are a lot of rumors surrounding the brand's next head-mounted display. It seems like it won't be the Quest 4, and is more likely a premium device that looks like a hybrid between a pair of smart glasses and a VR headset. More on this as it develops, but if it's to launch soon, it'll almost certainly impact the way the Quest 3 and 3S are serviced with deals going forward.
What's more certain is that some of the best Meta Quest accessories will continue to see big discounts. These always make up the majority of the deals we find, and they're a fantastic way to improve your headset's quality of life. Will you go for a new head strap that extends your battery life? Will you grab a charging stand so your controllers don't constantly run out of life? Or will you get yourself a carrying case so you can take some spatial computing power on the go? These types of things are always discounted during Black Friday, so if nothing else, prepare for those.

But remember that the Meta Quest 3 and 3S aren't the only VR headsets in town. There's some very healthy competition in this market right now, and automatically considering the Quest devices without looking at what else you could get could lead you to waste some hard-earned spending money. PSVR 2 - best for PS5 players
Being honest, PSVR 2 wipes the floor with the Quest 3 in terms of visual fidelity and gaming chops. The Micro-OLED panels in this headset make it incredible, but the added gaming features on PS5, like foveated rendering, haptic feedback, and excellent controllers, mean it's a much, much better investment if you play your games on PS5, you don't want standalone XR features, and you want to spend a little less than the Quest 3's price tag.
Pico 4 Ultra - best for UK shoppers
Personally, if I were to choose between the Quest 3 and the Pico 4 Ultra, I'd choose the Pico. It's almost an identical device, but it does certain things a bit differently, a bit better for gamers, and its comfort is a bit more premium. What's more, I'd much prefer to give my money to a company that isn't Meta, even if I still have questions about how Pico's parent company uses data.
Pimax Dream Air - Best for PC gamers with no budget limitations
The Pimax Dream Air is a ludicrous headset with probably the best visual fidelity I've ever seen. If you play on PC and you want to harness the ultimate capabilities of your rig with a lossless connection right to your GPU, please consider this over the Quest 3. I will warn you though, the price tag here is going to give you a shock.
(Currently testing) Steam Frame
The Steam Frame is more expensive than the Quest 3 despite offering very similar things. For that reason, it might not be a go-to pick right away. I'm currently testing this device so check back for more of a verdict soon, but from the off I'd say if you're only interested in gaming, you want to dodge Meta's data harvesting and mixed-reality nonsense, and you're really only interested in Steam library stuff, consider this one.
