Upcoming superhero movies: every Marvel, DC, and comic book movie in 2026 and beyond
Your guide to all the upcoming superhero movies on the way
There are a ton of exciting upcoming superhero movies on the way, be you a Marvel, DC or animated fan. In fact, 2026 is one of the most important years of big super powered franchises and we are already seeing the 2027 calendar start to fill up as well. There's a lot to keep track of, and that's why I've made this handy guide.
Below you'll find all the upcoming Marvel movies, upcoming DC movies, and all the other superhero flicks that aren't part of the massive universes listed by release date order. It's pretty important to keep on top of everything on the way as we are deep in Marvel Phase 6 and the DCU Chapter One plans now. The next Avengers movie is also on the way and Supergirl has just released (read our Supergirl review for more on that one).
To make sure you don't miss a thing, I regularly update this page as well, as soon as new announcements or new breaks. So, be sure to check back in regularly and also head down to the comments section to let us know what film you are most excited to see next as well!

New superhero movies (TBA)
Several upcoming superhero movies have been announced and are in various stages of pre-development. However, there's no guarantee that any of these (bar a few MCU and DC offerings) will make it to the big screen. But they're worth keeping an eye on, nonetheless!
Previous DC projects, such as Gotham City Sirens and Green Lantern Corps, are now dead under the new DC Studios regime. Co-CEO James Gunn announced the slate for DCU's Chapter One: Gods and Monsters in January 2023. But, a new Wonder Woman movie is on the way.
Luckily, there are still plenty of flicks in the works and a well of titles we can re-watch in the meantime. Speaking of, if you are still playing catch up on the various superhero universes, you'll need our guides on how to watch the Marvel movies in order and the DC movies in order.

I'm the Senior Entertainment Writer here at GamesRadar+, focusing on news, features, and interviews with some of the biggest names in film and TV. On-site, you'll find me marveling at Marvel and providing analysis and room temperature takes on the newest films, Star Wars and, of course, anime. Outside of GR, I love getting lost in a good 100-hour JRPG, Warzone, and kicking back on the (virtual) field with Football Manager. My work has also been featured in OPM, FourFourTwo, and Game Revolution.
