Ubisoft said today that a PC edition of Rayman Legends will launch alongside the previously announced console versions next month. It’s in development at Ubisoft Chengdu in China in collaboration with Ubisoft Montpellier.
Rayman Legends was originally due for release as a Wii U exclusive in February 2013, but was delayed to allow for a multiplatform launch on Xbox 360 and PS3. A Vita version was then announced in May
Developer Ubisoft Montpellier has said that the extra development time afforded by the game’s delay will allow the studio to add new characters, bosses and levels to the final product. It will also include 40 Rayman Origins levels as a bonus.
The game features the same four-player co-op as Rayman Origins and new touchpad mechanics thanks to the Wii U GamePad. We got our hands on the title during a recent visit to the Ubisoft offices and had the chance to talk with the developers about the new challenge mode, bosses, and music-themed levels.
