Prime Day Meta Quest deals 2025: What to expect for this October
Here's what to expect for Prime Day Meta Quest deals this October
Amazon has just announced that its Big Deals Days event will return this October, meaning that Prime Day Meta Quest deals will be with us in just a short three weeks. The dates of the event have been confirmed to be October 7-8, so that means we'll be able to make savings on all sorts of Quest products very, very soon.
I've been covering Prime Day Quest discounts for years, so I'm rounding up what to expect right here on this page. Prime Day gaming deals were pretty impressive last year, and indeed in July when the last batch of them swept through the internet. especially when it came to accessories for Meta Quest headsets. It's unclear at this stage whether we'll get discounts on both of the headsets, but these sale events are always the best time to get some third-party accessories if all else fails. For reasons I'll come onto though, I think some big headset discounts could be on the way.
That said, Meta isn't the only sheriff in town these days, and straight shooters like PSVR 2, HTC headsets, and the Pico 4 Ultra are holding big irons in terms of price. If you're looking to bag one of the best VR headsets this year, Prime Day Meta Quest deals could be your best chance if you can't wait for Black Friday in November.
Today's best Meta Quest deals
- Charging docks: Charge and display from $18
- Head straps: increased comfort from $9.59
- Battery head straps: Longer sessions from $22.99
UK deals:
- Head straps: Replacement straps for as low as £9.10
- Charging docks: Save up to 30%
- Charging cables: Cable deals from Syntech, AMVR, and JSAUX
What to expect from Prime Day Meta Quest deals in 2025
This seems like it's going to be the first year in a while where a new Meta Quest headset isn't launching. For deals, that's actually great news because it means that it's far more likely that the existing Quest 3 and 3S devices are going to see discounts.
The Quest 3 512GB model is now two years old, and the Quest 3S is about to celebrate its first birthday. What better way to get the end-of-year sales figures up than with some discounts and new bundles? I can absolutely see this being the tactic, especially since rumors have been swirling this year that Valve Deckard is going to be arriving soon, and Meta will want to draw all the attention it can.
With the Batman Arkham Shadow bundle starting to disappear, I wouldn't be surprised if we got a new bundled game deal too. It might be a little early to call this for October's Prime Day event since it's set for launch in the middle of November, but I could easily see Deadpool VR getting a Quest 3 bundle.
Don't forget that we'll also get plenty of bundles with accessories too, since these already exist at Amazon and other retailers. New this year is the Quest 3S Limited Edition Xbox bundle, and personally, I'm surprised that stock still exists of it, but some discounts during Prime Day might be worth keeping an eye on.
If one thing is for sure, we'll get plenty of discounts on all the third-party accessories for the Quest 3 and 3S. These are the bread and butter of a lot of Amazon's Prime exclusive sales. Expect some of these to be limited-time, Prime-exclusive offers, since they have been in previous sales.
What about the competition?
PSVR 2 has now received a permanent price drop, which makes it cheaper than the Quest 3 512GB. The recent Days of Play sale saw it decrease by a further $50 / £50, and so we may not see a repeated discount over Prime Day (which could be as soon as a month away). I've been noticing that the Quest 3S and PSVR 2 have been competing on prices a lot lately, so when one gets a discount, the other does too. It remains to be seen who will offer the better value for money this Prime Day, however.
The Pico 4 Ultra is also an excellent alternative to the Meta Quest 3 if you're shopping in the UK. It could get a price drop over Prime Day to keep it competitively priced, although its price isn't as affordable as the Quest 3S or PSVR 2, so I'd say consider it if you have the budget for a Quest 3 512GB.
Prime Day Meta Quest deals - FAQ
When will October's Prime Day Meta Quest deals begin?
Prime Day Meta Quest deals are now live as of October 7, and will run until October 8 at 12am local time. Based on the previous iterations of Prime Day I've covered, I'd say we can expect some notable deals to begin appearing in the week or two leading up to the event.
Do you need a membership for Prime Day Meta Quest deals?
Usually, Prime Day Meta Quest deals aren't Prime Exclusive, and competing retailers will usually run their own seasonal sales at the same time as Amazon. We did see some more accessory deals for the Quest 2 and 3 become Prime Exclusive, so if it's those you seek, you might want to think about a Prime membership. If you play your cards right though, you could get around paying for it. Take out a free trial in the week or so before the event kicks off, get access to the benefits, and then cancel before you need to pay.
Free 30-day trial of Amazon Prime
You don't even need to pay to take part in Prime Day Meta Quest 2 deals if you play your cards right. If you grab a free 30-day trial now, you'll be covered for Prime Day itself. Be sure to set a reminder, though, this will auto-renew into a full membership if you don't cancel it after the sale has passed.

One of my earliest memories is playing SuperMario64 and wondering why the controller I held had three grips, but I only had two hands. Ever since I've been in love with video games and their technology. After graduating from Edinburgh Napier University with a degree in Journalism, I contributed to the Scottish Games Network and completed an Editorial Internship at Expert Reviews. Over the last decade, I’ve been managing my own YouTube channel about my love of games too. These days, I'm one of the resident hardware nerds at GamesRadar+, and I take the lead on our coverage of gaming PCs, VR, controllers, gaming chairs, and content creation gear. Now, I better stop myself here before I get talking about my favourite games like HUNT: Showdown, Dishonored, and Towerfall Ascension.
