The Fortnite challenges are a familiar sight, and have served as a regular distraction for players since they arrived all the way back in Season 3 of Chapter 1. These sets of weekly assignments give us something more to do than just battle it out for a Victory Royale, and although different contrivances have been applied to them since that time their general purpose has remained consistent – unlocking bonus XP for players who take the time to complete them. Some Fortnite challenges follow standard patterns, such as eliminating enemies or searching chests and ammo boxes at a particular location, but it's the more difficult jobs like finding hidden items or visiting little-know areas that we've set out to help with.

Because the Fortnite challenges are no longer exclusive to Battle Pass holders, there's more Fortnite players than ever looking to clear their lists. Everyone can collect the XP rewards on offer, earning new locker items and even some extra V-Bucks without spending any real money. To complete the weekly Fortnite challenges there are often hidden items to find, as well as specific tasks to complete which may not seem straightforward at first. Don't worry though, as we're here working our way through the Fortnite challenges every week to bring you tips for getting through them fast, as well as additional guides for any tasks that require further explanation.

The Fortnite Week 1 challenges introduce a new feature with the Fortnite Quinjet Patrol landing sites, as not only do you have to find one of these randomised locations and eliminate Stark Robots there, but also steal one of their Energy Rifles and deal damage to opponents with it. Aside from that, an old favourite returns as you collect Fortnite floating rings at Misty Meadows, and you'll also need to gas up one of the Fortnite cars over at Lazy Lake.

We've got a strong Marvel showing in the Fortnite Week 2 challenges, as you'll need to visit the Fortnite Sentinel Graveyard to dance on the heads of giant robots, as well as calling in at Fortnite Ant Manor so you can bounce on different oversized dog toys. Away from superheroes, the Fortnite Colored Steel Bridges make a return showing, so climb aboard one of the Fortnite motorboats and ride under three of them.

The Marvel influence continues to be seen with the Fortnite Week 3 challenges, where you'll need to head to Stark Industries to take down Iron Man himself as well as paying a visit to the Black Panther monument at Fortnite Panther's Prowl. Other than that you'll need to explode Fortnite gas pumps or gas cans to deal damage, and place fire traps once you've found them in chests or floor loot.

The Fortnite Week 4 challenges feature Marvel heavily once again, as you'll be hacking Stark Robots over at Stark Industries and visiting the Fortnite The Collection to destroy some Collector Cases. You'll also need to track down a Gorger so you can do battle with Fortnite Gatherers, then use their remains to deal a large amount of damage.

We have several vehicle tasks lined up for the Fortnite Week 5 challenges, including jumping through a flaming hoop south of Salty Springs and racing a car from Slurpy Swamp to Catty Corner against the clock. There are also a set of Fortnite floating rings at Coral Castle to collect, so get moving around that undersea area to sweep them all up.

That's all of the weekly challenges available for now, but we'll be updating this guide each week as new ones are released.
