Ok, let me be the first to make the 'throwing a smoke bomb and calling a team Guerrillas in the mist' joke. Urban Far Cry Homefront: The Revolution has announced an online four player co-op experience called Resistance Mode that lets you build a Resistance Cell with friends and take on the military. There will be a series of narrative missions to get through across occupied Philadelphia and you'll be able to customise your own roster of Freedom Fighters with skills, new weaponry and combat gear.
Initially there will be 12 missions to take on as part of Resistance Mode but the team is adding more once the game is on shelves. “In addition to our epic 30-plus hour single-player campaign, we expect to launch Resistance Mode with 12 Missions, packed with re-playability, and hope to release another 20 Missions within the first year," says Dambusters game director Hasit Zala. "To ensure our community can always play together, all Resistance Mode Missions will be free to download.”
Deep Silver has also announced a 'Revolutionary Spirit' pack which will be free to everyone who pre-orders the game before the release date of May 16th in the US and May 20th elsewhere. The pack includes unique skins that include a Red Skull motorbike and Golden pistol, and instant access to the Marksman rifle, sniper scope and all the fun of remote explosives in Resistance Mode. The game will be getting an exclusive closed beta on Xbox One from February 11th - 14th.
