There is huge potential in this game, in DICE's ability, the frostbite engine & the potential of how awesome crazy DICE could go by building on battlefield's destructible environments, game mechanics & large scale combat. Battlefield 4 wowed me with it's l'evolution moments and dynamic enviroments, I feel this was the only game at the end of last year to be truely new-gen. Reading the comments posted here is exciting, as we have not seen any gameplay, our imaginations are running wild with the possibilities DICE can bring to the star wars universe. - Battlefront 3 is bound to be a great game, but not sure if it is possible to reach the heights of some of the awesome ideas people are posting. I'm kind of nervous because this is sure to be a great game, but also has the potential to be truely outstanding. I feel it being released at the same time as the new movie, end of 2015, may go against EA's new commitment to deliver games when they are ready & bug free, and may mean features DICE want to implement don't make it passed the drawing board. That said, I am sure DICE are fans of Star Wars and previous Star Wars games, and that they are making the best possible game they can make. Future add-ons and patches will improve and expand the game, as DICE has always tried to do. Anyway, i'm ranting and seemed to have lost track of the point I was trying to make.. good luck DICE!

2nd paragraph, 4th line: "Known for their work on *BattleFIELD, the developer has a long history in massive war games." Just sayin

I cant believe that people dont want jedi/lightsabers in this game!!!!! It makes it so much better and i personally never had a problem with it before. I wouldn't now.

Would anyone else but me like to see DLC that would add the Jedi Civil War as a playable era? With Jedi or Dark Jedi as playable classes apart from heroes? Speaking of heroes, just imagine being able to play as Darth Malak, Bastila, or even Darth Revan on huge battlefields inspired by Knights of the Old Republic. And damn it, a space battle around the Star Forge on the scale of previous Battlefront games with next-gen graphics and physics would give me a nerdgasm.

Needs of BattleFront 3 1.) (MP Quick matches)Land/Space Combat combined -or- dedicated Land/Space battles ( not intermixed ) 2.) 64 - 64 teams or higher 3.) Heroes in battles( Jedi/Sith/Smugglers/Bounty Hunters/Special ops ) 4.) Epic single player action! 5.) galactic conquest ((( Possibly MP / Clan )))-Fighting for territory and commanding troops or ships with a unique ranking system to rule the stars of the galaxy and the planets with in them!- 6.) Epic Space battles! ( Controlling fleets, large ships such as: Imperial Star Destroyer, Mon Calamari Battle Ships, cruisers, and such, also, Slave-1, and the Millenium falcon if possible. ) 7.)Large maps on the ground and in space( Space: Have some sort of space debris- Asteroids, Space junk, etc ) 8.) Single Player Story Line missions From Ep I,II,III,IV,V, and VI 9.) Very high customizability on armor/ weapon such as: ( Armor: Color, Shape, Looks, Abilities. Weapons: Addons, sights, types(No specific weapon for class) 10.) Co-Op in Galactic Conquest/Story Mode 11.) 1st or 3rd person view ( Players choice ) 12.) Destructible environments ( Bending steel, crumbling walls, crashing buildings/structures, ships burning in the atmosphere when destroyed as they crash down to earth, or just explode ) 13.) Physics( Crashing into trees make them fall, or if you hit a rock your vehicle gets damaged unless it is really large like an At-At which would crush buildings and rocks. lol ) 14.) Mod supportive 15.) Boarding parties for ships, and can destroy it from the Inside like in BF2 but more, " fun " possibly with Pods that penetrate the ship. 16.) NOOOOT Just point and shot! that would destroy this game. :) But that just about wraps up what would make this game Uber, haha I hope you guys like the suggestions, and make it so! love- Star wars battlefront fan from day 1 haha

I agree with roadshow, no non-jedis, they are boring. There should be an assault mode (jedi vs. jedi) on every planet, not just tatooine, and you should be able to personalize your trrops like in renegade squadron. Also, since i know all the forms, every jedi should be equipped with there form, for eg. yoda is ataru, so he fights like that, there also shhould be guns and lightsabers that you control so you can fight for real, and anything else cool

Wait, we NEED Jedi on the Battlefront. My favorite thing about STBF2 was the "perk" if you use a large amount of bonuses to use a leader. Please ditch the non Jedi from that list as well. At least a single player mode option, I love nothing more than to mow down 200 enemy single handedly. Running from one end of the map to the other taking command posts and denying them a place to spawn or narrowing it down to just one spawn location for them so we can trap them. Most of what you said is awesome though and I would really like to take off from a planet and join a space battle. That was one of the coolest things on the youtube videos. I can't believe that all any fan wanted all this generation were good star wars games and all we got was stupid force unleased. I can't get over how lame that game is, yes I played them, I still own the first but they just suck compared to pretty much every other star wars game I've ever played. Force unleased is NOT what the fans have been BEGGING for. Finally we get it and as you pointed out, we get it with DICE at the helm with Frostbite 3! It's going to be freaking amazing. Oh and BTW, EA already said that Battlefront will NOT be just Battlefield in a Star Wars universe. It will be it's own game but i do hope many of the high quality features in Battlefield are present in the game.
  • F72Voyager - July 3, 2013 9:46 a.m.

I'm sorry, but this list makes it sound too much like Battlefield with Star Wars. Everything he said was, "You know, like Battlefield. This stuff's in Battlefield, so let's put it in BattleFRONT. They both begin with Battle, RIGHT????" I don't know about everyone else, but I want a Battlefront, not just a Battlefield with the Force.
  • adam-marouf - July 3, 2013 2:21 p.m.

if you haven't realised, Battlefront was pretty much just Battlefield 2 with Jedi
  • F72Voyager - July 5, 2013 10:24 a.m.

Not even. If you say that, you've missed out on the whole point/feel of Battlefront. Plus, I've played both, and what you said is not the case. You could say that it's just a Team Deathmatch in the Star Wars Universe and therefore it's not much different than Call of Duty. You COULD say that. You could say that about any FPS, really, But why you DON'T say that about just ANY Shooter, is that other shooters have that something whether it's a game mechanic or something else that sets it apart from your regular hum-drum FPS. THAT'S something that Battlefront has. Battlefield has something completely different, and I don't want Battlefield's stuff to potentially contaminate Battlefront's stuff.
  • LordReserei - July 3, 2013 4:30 a.m.

One thing I want to see is that they keep the ability to choose either first-person or third-person. I can't be the only one who played Battlefront and Battlefront II in third-person view. It would put me off and probably alienate a few fans if they decided to make it exclusively an FPS.
  • Commanferj - July 3, 2013 4:12 a.m.

So I read this and I was liking everything this Lorenzo Veloria guy wrote and then I got to the part about NO JEDI in the regular battles. Then I said to myself "This guy has no idea what he is talking about". Why is he speaking for the whole battlefront community. Did he take a vote somewhere that I missed and then wrote his article based on that? Or did he get real butt hurt over Jedi kicking his butt in Battlefront 2? Probably wasn't a good enough player to ever play as a Jedi...... I have been playing Battlefront games like most of you since they came out. Playable rewarded Jedi are one of the key features that separate Battlefront from Battlefield and COD. I really hope DICE doesn't take this guys cortical seriously. With love, CommanderJ (PS3 (coming soon to the PS4))
  • GlobalNightmare - June 30, 2013 3:12 a.m.

I'd like to be able to call on a jedi/sith as a reward for a high killstreak. Imagine the star wars theme/imperial march coming on and a lightsaber wielding loon comes running onto the battlefield sending players running for cover. That would be epic.
  • adam-marouf - July 3, 2013 2:27 p.m.

bar the fact that killstreak rewards like that unbalance the game, good idea, but maybe not in that specific context, something that would be better might be that the team that controls a specific location can call upon a Jedi, or maybe a Jedi will appear after a set amount of time that can be decreased by killing the enemy, taking CPs et cetera
  • yonderTheGreat - June 29, 2013 5:23 p.m.

There have been some decent attempts at this over the years, but they all pale in comparison to the X-Wing/TIE-Fighter series in the early 90s. How can it be so difficult to emulate the fun of those games? Sheesh.
