There was this place I used to frequent, a gaming hub...DLC was the name (though it doesn't matter)
It was awesome but there were a LOT of kids...
But these kids were WAY into WoW and literally got into fist fight because of some raid bullshit or something...IDK, either way we all just sat back and laughed at a bunch of 13/14 year old kids (try) to beat the shit out of each other...
Tears of joy were shed!! Awesome!!
I also have gotten into a LOT of arguements of "which console is best" (when I was younger)...Good times!!

Great question.
Street FIghter II, Mortal Kombat, Mortal Kombat II, Sonic 2, Sonic 3, Mega Turrican. All of these ended in a fist fight, and ended the friendship.
Too many games have lead to verbal arguements, but nothing worth ending a friendship over, including; Madden 1990-2009, MLB 08: The Show, Street FIghter III, Gran Turismo 4, Twisted Metal Black, Virtua FIghter 4: EVO.

Hte one game that I can think of is , ironically, Small Arms on XBLA, a game all about fighting. After me winning 6 matches in a row against my brother, we had a small fistfight, which promptly turned into something else when he whacked me in the knee with a 360 controller. However, no one was really hurt, and he won the next 3 matches.

GTAIV The fact that my friend is obsessed with the online pisses me off, because all he does is be a pilot and kill people, I tried to make him see reason. His ignorance only served to make me mad, eventually I just had to leave furious with his idiocy.

got to be Counter Strike 1.6, i go to a boarding school, so all of the houses have lan network. we would usually play against each other, there are 24 people in our dorms, so 12 on each side and sometimes there would some "disagreements" about some people using hacks (i my self dont use hacks, but i know some people that do), one of these disagreements became a full on brawl which i was involved in, one player acussed another player of using a wall hack, our team almost won, was the last guy on our team, 1 v 1, pretty suspensful, and after the match, he confronted him. as he is a cheating scrotum, he punched him in the side of the head, which lead to the other team jumping him, and i jumped in with the rest of my team and i can tell you that was one crazy brawl, 2 guys got concussions, and 1 broke his collar bone, i broke my thumb and my pinky, but it was crazy. it gets worse though, 2 different dorm houses played against each other, 24 on 24, crazy as you might imagine. this to, usually ends up in a fight, but almost as big, but i stayed out of that one. but yah, CS 1.6 (not the crappy source version) started 2 major brawls at my school, resulting in the banning of playing CS until we can show that we have the maturity to not beat the crap out of each other while playing a game.

i'd have to say halo 3, theres been so many times I've either been killed by a glitch, didn't get credit for my kill due to crappy connection, grenades that dont explode, etc. Whenever that happens, my friends say I suck, so I have to yell at them to get them to believe me. Which causes an argument. Also, I get mad and yell when youve taken down someones entire shield and someone else gets your kill. Its make me want to betray them.

For the second week in a row, fighting games. Street Fighter II and Mortal Kombat. I was about 9-10 when these came out and I have a brother who is three years younger. So when we'd play the games we'd always get in fights over cheap moves, like pushing someone into a corner and doing leg sweeps, or unplugging each other's controllers. Most the time it was only verbal fights but a couple of times it got physical. I hit him in the head with a SNES controller once and he broke one of my Genesis controllers. Ah fun.

I recall a few, most of them happening at the same arcade place, but the one that makes me laugh the most was when I bitchslapped my friend in X-men Vs Street Fighter so bad that he got mad and punched the screen really hard. He didn't break it, but it was a loud thud and the lady that worked there almost kicked us out.
There was one time though that the arcade saved us from a fight. This was back in the tenth grade and the school I went to had a long rivalry with another nearby school. A kid from our school was jumped one day and it sparked a giant fight between the schools and the mall was the battleground. That day I had no idea what was going on cause I was the new kid, so I was just going to the arcade on my break when a bunch of the school kids were acting weird and going around the school as if ready to attack someone. I went to the arcade as normal with my other friends, passing the time playing Mortal Kombat 3 when a bunch of angry security guards came into the arcade demanding that we be kicked out. The lady who worked there said we had nothing to do with the fight and to leave us alone. I remember one of the guards holding a 2x4. After that, no students were allowed in the mall before 4pm.
Weird thing, years later I'd get a job working Security at that same mall, though none of the guards were there for the big fight.
So the lady at the arcade saved me from getting my head whacked by an angry security guard with a 2x4. That's the opposite of this week's question, but its one of those things that years later I laugh about.

Hey, I'm sorta new to the site! Shout-out ftw!!
Yeah anyway, I always used to fight with my friend over worms on PS1 when we were younger. He'd always pull my pad out or randomly mash my controller when it was my go. Pretty bad fights to say they were just over a game too :-S
I also used to fight with my older brother when he'd just go on my GTA:Vice city file and dick around, wasting my bullets and money not knowing the frustration he was causing me!! "START YOUR OWN FILE U TERD!"
Trying to think of more fights....

Halo 3. On release day after school I sat down to play halo 3 at which point my friend who had skived of that day to play it invited me to a chat. So fare enough I joined at which point he told me the game's ending. Furious I asked him why he did this and he simply replied because I can. What an ARSEHOLE!!!!
Oh forgot to mention this ended in me getting him banned from XBL (I had no mercy)

my friend phil, he has the worst temper in the world. ive seen him throw controllers and yell at a girl over naruto clash of ninja on the old gamecube, we dont let him play that anymore.
but phils masterwork or anger came during a round of halo3 after a guy who looks a lot like justin timberlake repeatedly killed and teabagged him phil lost his temper and threw an office chair across the room, sadly the office chair was broken and some rice was spilled.
there was rice for some reason.

My/Mikel's ex used to get her panties in a wad about games all the time. And if there was a problem with a PC game, it was my computer's problem, and thus I got to hear about it. She also had the technical skills of a bowl of yogurt and all the interest in learning more as she had interest in being strung up, so this added to the irritation factor. So, lots and lots of yelling, mostly at me. (-_- )
She really liked old school Sierra games, which had functionality issues on faster machines. I remember one particular row happened when Gabriel Knight kept bugging out and, because she KNEW the game worked back in the day, it had to be the machine. And because it was the machine, she called me at work to yell at me. (>_< ) After I got home, I did a quick netsearch, found a patch, installed and she forgot all about the fight (and me) until she finished the damn thing.
Funny enough, she's taken an interest in being strung up, in a sense, since we parted ways. But that's neither here nor there.

i bought SSBB, and my mom completely flipped out. my dad doesn't really care so much about the "violence". but with my mom, she completely freaks out at the slightest. so i provided a pretty solid arguement. the best one's i've ever made. but, since apparently my mom refuses to EVER lose, she just took the game back to Wal-Mart without even letting me show her the gameplay of it. didn't even give it a chance. it still pisses me off to this day.

Okay. So this was all over Majora's Mask.
I bought it and I was totally ready to play. My cousin was living with me at the time he also wanted to play. Of course I told him "HELL NO!" He got pissed off and went out of the room. Now just remember that there is a glass door next to my room. Its important to the story. Like an hour later I was at getting my ocarina back. He comes in my bedroom with a broom and hits me in the head. That PISSES me off. I get up and he hits the 64 with the broom. Wasn't the best idea in the world. I punch him in the face and he hits me with the broom again. I take it and hit him across the face with it and he tries to tackle me. I move and grab him by his neck and literally throw him into this sliding glass door. I repeat, I THREW him into it. It just shatters. He has glass all in his face and ear. He had a cube of meat hanging from his ear. A CUBE! He was crying. It was distgusting etc. I had a couple bruises.
I got grounded. My father destroyed my 64 and my cousin got stitches in his face and ear just because I wouldn't let him play the game.
I also had a small fight with my girlfriend(she kinda just beat my ass) cause I beat her too many times in street fighter 4.

Alright, this is semi-related. The game didn't have much to do with the violence. Prepare for a story:
I bought a PS1 from a yard sale back when they were popular, but had to borrow $30 from my brother to do so. Well, he never let me forget about this.
One day I was playing Tenchu. I was probably 13, so he was 17. He came up into our room and said, "Hey, I wanna play something". I said "Ok, hold on a second". Well, he got really mad, walked up behind me, and screamed "It's half my PHUCK!NG Playstation too!" as he proceeded to smack me right in the back of my head.
I sat there stunned for a second. Neither of us said another word and he walked out of the room. He hit me hard enough to knock my glasses off and make poor Rikimaru fall out of a very tall tree.
And hey, I'm not complaining or anything, but could you pretty please say my name on the next podcast? This is the fourth or fifth question I've answered, but still have never got the "new user signup" shoutout on the air. (I know I've been late a couple of times). Thank you kindly!

This gets a tad complicated,so try to keep up.
Ya see I got into a fight with my buddy, but I was able to hold my emotions in till I got my revenge. Ya see he stole my Pokemon blue. But instead of just starting a new game (over my 187 hour's of play) he just stole my top 6 and gave it back too me. And for you people who actually played Pokemon, that's just not something you do. That's braking Bro code #2...... So, as revenge, I stole his Pokemon yellow, with all my Pokemon on it. I then took all of my good Pokemon back, and put the on my copy of Red (Because who's gonna look there, Psh red.... lame).
Then I ripped the cover off the game (He had to write his name on the game because of his brothers), restarted his 70 hours of play, and stashed it next to the stop n go down the street. And I know you're saying "why would you do that", Because we often go down there to pick up brownie mix (yum yum).
But on our way to the stop and go we check this little place called "the stash spot". Its a little secluded dent in the ground behind the strip mall, surrounded in trees. This is the place were people would put stuff they stole. Bikes, scooters, TV's whatever (I lived in the ghetto). And guess what we found, a copy of Pokemon yellow, with the cover ripped off, and the game restarted, and name reset to "A$$hole".
It took him about 30 seconds to register that it was actually his copy of the game, He then bent his vocal cords trying to curse me out, followed by trying to throw a rock at me, and walking home in a crying fit. I looked mad till he was out of view, Then I had a biiiig grin on my face, my plan had worked...........
