Question 24: What's the game you regret parting with the most?

And why? Either because of that gameĀ?s inherent or amassed value, or the lack thereof in the title you traded or sold it for. We all got a few...
Mine? Oh you'll have to listen to the podcast, honey bunch.

Simpsons Hit and Run, when I look back on it it was pretty fun. I sold it because there was a part I couldn't get past but if I tried now I could probably do it.

Ok, I recently sold my Wii and I really do regret doing so. Goodbye Zack and Wiki Goodbye SSBB Goodbye RE4 Goodbye Metroid Prime 3 Goodbye Bully Goodbye Guitar Hero 3
Wow, this is rather depressing.

I don't really have one I have one that I kinda regret.
It was daredevil for the GBA that a friend gave me I really wanted some money after he gave it too me and I kinda liked it. I ended up selling for about $5 and after that I wished I could play it again and kinda regretted selling it for how little I got. That's about all I have I only sold 2 games and the other one I don't regret selling it at all.

That works too, sourpunch!
I sold a friend's guitar once. It's not quite stealing, but I still feel bad about it.

Metal gear on PSOne because in the end i had to part with my psone in a fiery blaze (I literally thrashed it around then poured lighter fluid on it and lit it on fire) forgetting that the Metal Gear CD was still in the console.

the one and only game i regret parting with is "tales of symphonia". i loved this game but one day i just put it down. i had 40 hours in the game (the most i had in any game at the time). the game was fantastic and i haven't played it in many years out of sheer lack of interest.

I opened my christmas presents in 2005, to find a SPECIAL EDIRION RED DS WITH MARIO KART DS AND SOME REALLY COOL STICKERS!!! I looved that game. played it all the time, in the car, at home, while i was supposed to be sleeping, and then one day i loaned it to a friend. MONTHS pass without me seeing it again, and i finally asked him what was up. He said he had lost it, and would make it up to me somehow. Great, I thought. I'll never see it again. so, another month passes and i decide that it is time to just buy another copy of the game. Four days later, my friend walks into school and hands me a used copy of mario kart ds. So now, with two copies, I thought that even if I lost one,I would still have another one. Guess what? I left one at a rented house in vermont, and the other in god knows where. So i have gone through no less than three copies of that game, and I should probably just get it again, seeing as its like 10 bucks now, but i am always afriad that i am just going to lose it again, and since do not have it.
the end. (or is it?)
I also traded in Elite Beat Agents, and I shouldn't have.

Goldeneye.
Why the f-bomb did I give that away? What the f-bomb was I thinking? Then when Nintendo announced that their Revolution would release a lot of their back catalog so you could play your favorite old games again, I was sold. Then I found out that a lot of RARE games like Goldeneye would probably never come to Virtual Console or Live Arcade.
Really. What the f-bomb was I thinking? I didn't even trade it away, I just gave it away to a friend as he left for UC Santa Cruz. I don't care that I played through the game about 50 times. I still miss it.

The original Half-life. When my dad bought it for me, i was only like, seven or eight, so i didn't appreciate it for what it was. So I let my cousin have it. Yes, i gave it away for free. Of course, I never saw it again, and he has long since then sold it or lost it. It wasn't until I bought The Orange Box that i regretted giving it away, but damn, what I would give to play that game. Especailly when I hear you guys STILL praising it on the podcast.

Megaman 64 - it might not have been a great game but it sure was fun (sold it) sonic mega collection - retro games are still fun but I needed money... and The last 2 The Legend of Zelda: ocarina of time and majora's mask I never finished them on N64 because I usually sell my older games I haven't played in a while, but I got the collection thing for gamecube and I still have them so...I should probably finish them...

Blast Corps. I got stuck on a mission, and got so frustrated that I eventually gave it away. A week later, the friend I had given it to had beaten the level that I had been stuck on, and I plotted for a whole day on how I could steal it back

I traded In MK vs DCU for Street Fighter IV...oh wait :S in my defense I'm a sucker for anything comics related and it was very cheap...and pretty bad
I have a story that I don't think really fits but I'll tell it anyway.
I'm currently in my second year of university studying Computer Games Modeling and Animation in Derby, England. in my first year I recaptured my love for fighting games, 2D ones especially, and I found a copy of Marvel Vs Capcom 2 on Ps2 in the local CEX (used Dvds, games etc) and got addicted to it. Flash forward about 6 months, i'm now living in a slightly dodgey part of town in a three story house, my room being on the top floor. After a couple of weeks not playing MvC2 I break it out with the PS2 thats setup in the living room, next to a pile of broken ones (we were seeing which actually played Dvds still for complete living room purposes) So anyway I play it with a house mate, and leave it there in the PS2 with the memory card. A couple of weeks later...we get broken into, funny thing is alot of the people living there were in at the time...playing Rock Band on the second floor, no one was in the living room or kitchen meaning a guy must have got in and stole 3 PS2's, a Sixty Gig IPOD, a suitcase full of clothes, and a bicycle. my beloved copy of MvC2 gone with my precious memory card. I cant really bitch about it though, because thats all I lost. Oh well that killed some time.

I usually trade in my gaming collection in order to buy the latest console that's come out. I traded in loads of my gamecube and dreamcast games so that I could buy a 360. Now I don't regret buying the Xbox but I have slowly been trying to buy back some of the games that I so ruthlessly sold. Namely, Street Fighter 3 and Paper Mario: Thousand Year Door.
In my desperation to find Street Fighter 3, which has included a number of trips to independent games stores or scouting clandestine websites, I have bitten the bullet and bought a Japanese copy off ebay. I don't know why I want this game so much, I do believe it to be the best Street Fighter, but knowing how I usually game, I'll play it solidly for a week then forget about it again. In conclusion, I'm a bit of a tool.

I traded in my copy of The Wind Waker along with a whole bunch of other gamecube games so i could get Halo 3 on the day it came out. I traded it cause i was stuck in one of the later temples and just gave up on it. A couple weeks later i got inspired to play again, looked frantically around my house, then realized i had gottne rid of it.

I have a couple ...
I once let my friend, who was super annoying, barrow the original Fire Emblem and Super Mario World for the GBA. Whenever I asked him to give it back he said he lost it which I knew was a lie because I watched him play it. He moved to California so there's no way to get it now.
The other one was Tales of Symphonia for the GC. My other friend and I played the Fock out of that game. I can't even remember what I traded it for but it was a decision I will always regret.
