Desperate to know how your favourite NFL team’s back-up running back is rated for Trucking ahead of Madden 17’s August 23 release date? Then do a little dab, because EA has unleashed a colossal spreadsheet which will tell you this, and every other default rating in the game.
(If you’re a Broncos fan and were thinking of Devontae Booker, it’s 64.)
The spreadsheet is publicly available as a Google Document, and suggests overall ratings have been downgraded significantly this year, which is definitely a good thing. Seattle have the most 90+ rated players, with six: Russell Wilson, Michael Bennett, Cliff Avril, Richard Sherman, Kam Chancellor, and Earl Thomas.
At the other end of the spectrum, three teams have no 90+ players whatsoever. San Francisco’s Joe Staley is ranked best for his team, with 89; Jacksonville’s Allen Robinson leads the Jags with 88; while the same 88 rating is awarded to two San Diego players, in Keenan Allen and Jason Verrett.
Cardinals linebacker is rated the worst defensive player in the game, with a overall rating of 50. On the offensive side of the ball, five tight ends all score a super harsh 40 out of 100: Patrick Scales (Chicago), Casey Kreiter (Denver), Joe Cardona (New England), Morgan Cox (Baltimore), and Drew Ferris (Seattle).
Madden 17 is released for PS4, PS3, Xbox One and Xbox 360 on August 23.
