The long-awaited Mineru's Construct Legend of Zelda amiibo is up for pre-order, and my collection couldn't be happier
Mineru's Construct amiibo launches September 17
The Mineru's Construct Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom series amiibo has finally been unveiled in all its Zonai glory.
The new amiibo is set to launch on September 17 2026, and is available to pre-order for $34.99 at Nintendo right at this very moment. You won't just need a copy of Tears of the Kingdom to use this NFC collectible either, as it's compatible with a whole host of Legend of Zelda titles, including Hyrule Warriors Age of Imprisonment and Breath of the Wild. Of course, if you want that special fabric for Link's paraglider, Tears of the Kingdom is the way to go, but I'm just happy to finally get a glimpse of this long-awaited toys-to-life Nintendo toy.
The newly unveiled Mineru's Construct amiibo can be tapped on your right Switch 2 Joy-Con to unlock goodies in a whole host of Legend of Zelda titles, and is compatible with not just the Nintendo Switch 2, but the older family of Switch handhelds too. You can also use it alongside Animal Crossing New Horizons to invite a Zelda-themed character to your island.
UK: £24.99 at Nintendo
It's been a long time coming for this amiibo. The stunning new piece of Zelda merch was mentioned all the way back during the launch of the Nintendo Switch 2, alongside the Sidon, Tulin, Riju, and Yunobo figures. Yet while the rest were available to grab on the same day as the handheld, Mineru's Construct was apparently "coming soon" and that was the last we heard until today.
That was likely a good thing where my savings are concerned, as I'm not sure I could have budgeted for the entire collection. To this day, I'm still missing Riju and Yunobo, so I'll need to try my best efforts to grab them before September, especially as this amiibo is $4.99 more than the rest.
Its price does at least feel a little bit justified, as this is a large-looking amiibo, which even comes with articulated arms. Nintendo states on its official product page that you "can move around and pose how you like" which is like music to my ears as someone always looking to add to their growing Zelda Collection.
If your collection has a Mineru's Construct amiibo spot saved, you can pre-order the amiibo straight from the online Nintendo store for $34.99 (Nintendo) / £24.99 (Nintendo). So far, it hasn't made an appearance at other retailers, but I'll be sure to update this page when it does.

Weekly digests, tales from the communities you love, and more

Ever since I first held a NES controller in my hand I've been obsessed with gaming, and the hardware it runs on. I could hook up a NES and SNES to a telly, without instructions, before I could walk. Even now, nothing is more exciting then taking a console, or handheld, out the box for the first time and setting it up. This obsession transformed into a love of games and game music, which lead to my music degree and dream of becoming the Scottish Nobuo Uematsu. After sharing my love of games through music, I began to share my love through words on sites like TechRadar and iMore. This lead to becoming a Hardware staff writer for PCGamesN, and later the Senior Tech Writer for Dexerto, covering all things Steam Deck, PlayStation and Nintendo. With that experience, I was able to level up as Hardware Editor for GamesRadar+, where I'm still just as Nintendo, PlayStation and gaming tech obsessed as ever.
