Build-A-Bear Workshop will let you mold your own Pikachu this month

You'll get to play Frankenstein with your very own plush Pikachu later this month. Build-A-Bear Workshop today revealed that the mouse Pokemon will scurry onto shelves in late December, ready for kids and full-grown adults to customize and adorn as they wish.

If you're not into the whole "building" part of Build-A-Bear (handfuls of stuffing aren't for the squeamish) then you can pre-order a pre-built Pikachu set off the store's site right now. The $60 online version comes with a Pokeball hoodie and a Pokemon TCG card with special BABW art, and it's the only way to get a Charizard hoodie and six-in-one Pikachu sound player for your new plush companion.

Or you can secure your personal role in building the Pikachu army by paying $28 to reserve one at your local store, which will also get you a copy of the TCG card. Either way, be sure to wear your red ball cap and make a solemn vow to teach, and in return be taught, by your new Pokemon as soon as you capture it.
