How long does Pragmata take to complete? You can easily complete it in under 15 hours as it's neither a very big game nor particularly difficult. The main thing that's going to determine your completion time is how much you engage with Pragmata's resource collecting and upgrading aspects, perhaps grabbing only the essentials or committing to plundering every area. With that in mind, here are some estimations for how long it takes to beat Pragmata below.
How long does it take to beat Pragmata?
Based on my time playing and that of some other GamesRadar+ team members, you should expect Pragmata to take 10-12 hours to complete, but your completion time will vary depending on how you play:
- Critical path only: 9-10 hours
- Main quest and exploration: 10-14 hours
- 100% completion: 16+ hours
If you keep exploration and resource-hunting to the absolute minimum across the game's five main sectors and play on easy difficulty to make combat as simple as possible, you might just get through Pragmata in 10 hours or under. However, that's not really the ideal way to play as you need to regularly spend your Pragmata resources on upgrading your weapons, mods, and other gear to match the power of the enemy robots.
That all means a bit of exploring is essential. You don't need to find every resource in every level to be appropriately powerful, but being reasonably thorough, backtracking a little, and going back to the Shelter to spend resources means you'll likely complete Pragmata in around 12 hours, give or take an hour or two - our Pragmata tips may even help you be even more efficient.
But if you're after that 100% completion and want to gather every resource item, grab every collectible, unlock every upgrade, and complete every training simulation, you'll be spending over 16 hours doing so. There's post-game content to play through as part of this and you might even want to play the whole game again in New Game+ or the hardest difficulty, all of which unlock after completing the game.
