There are five main Pragmata currencies and resources, all of which can be earned and spent in different ways, from the plentiful Lunafilament for printing new gear to rare Pure Lunum for top-tier upgrades. You'll have to explore quite thoroughly to find some of the rarer materials in Pragmata, but as a rule of thumb for resource gathering, you should keep an eye out for orange and white safe boxes and complete Cabin's Training Simulations. Otherwise, here's everything you need to know about the main upgrade resources and currencies you use in Pragmata and how to get them.
Lunafilament
- Little blue fragments that make up Pragmata's most basic and abundant currency, often called lim.
- How to get it: Collect Lunafilament from defeated enemies, certain safe boxes, and yellow supply boxes, or you can just find it lying around in levels. Some Training Simulations offer large amounts of Lunafilament as a reward too. You can earn the Pocket Refinery Mod, which increases Lunafilament gains by 10%, from the Business District Red Zone in the Mass Production Array.
- What it's used for: Spend it on unlocking and upgrading loadout gear at the Shelter's Unit Printer.
Upgrade Components
- Yellow tesseract cubes that are vital for basic upgrades to things like health, defense, and Pragmata hacking.
- How to get them: Upgrade Components can be found lying out in the open or in difficult-to-reach areas that may require a bit of platforming or puzzle-solving to reach. You can also find them in certain safe boxes, with one later in the game containing multiple components, and certain Training Simulations award them too.
- What they're used for: Spend them on levelling up Hugh's Suit and Primary Unit and Diana's Hacking at the Shelter's Firmware Updater. As our Pragmata tips say, you should spend you components across these three upgrades evenly.
Pure Lunum
- A rare upgrade resource used for high-level gear improvements and unlocks.
- How to get it: Pure Lunum is found in white Delphi-branded crates and is offered as a reward from several Training Simulations.
- What it's used for: Spend it on unlocking certain abilities and high-level gear upgrades at the Shelter's Unit Printer.
Cabin Coins
- A special currency used exclusively for Cabin's Stamp Club that is earned in several ways.
- How to get them: You will earn one Cabin Coin whenever you gift Diana a REM item in the Shelter. Some safe boxes also contain a Cabin Coin, and all Training Simulations offer one coin as a reward.
- What they're used for: Speak to Cabin at the Shelter and spend your coins on their Stamp Club bingo cards, helping you unlock outfits for Hugh and Diana, lore entries, and even new mods and gear.
Red Gate Keys
- Rare keys used to access difficult Red Zone encounters that contain some of the above resources as rewards.
- How to get them: Found in red laptops as you explore the Moon base. Can also be bought from Cabin's Stamp Club bingo cards with Cabin Coins.
- What it's used for: When you come across a Red Zone while exploring, you can spend a Red Gate Key to unlock the zone and head inside. Complete the encounter within and you'll get rewards at the end, usually including some of the resources mentioned above.
Data Shards
- Blue polyhedrons that are more of a power-up and are quite rare.
- How to get it: Sometimes found in yellow supply boxes.
- What it's used for: Fills Diana's Hacking Gauge by about two segments when collected.
