Here's Russia's version of the Avengers (including a bear with a machine gun because why not)

Ever since Marvel's Avengers assembled back in 2012 every major studio has been trying to follow in their footsteps and get their own superheroes together, and now Russia is getting in on the act. The new trailer for Guardians (or Zaschitniki in Russian) - which sees a group of Soviet superheroes unite to protect their homeland from a supernatural threat - landed online this week and it features, among other things, a bear-man wielding a machine gun.

Check out the craziness below...

The footage also includes a generous look at various cool-looking action sequences, and some dubbing which leaves much to be desired. All in all, while Guardians probably won't be anything too groundbreaking for the superhero genre I imagine any film which has a bear-man wielding a machine gun will be at least a little bit fun to watch.

Directed by Sarik Andreasyan and starring Sebastien Sisak, Anton Pampuchniy, Sanzhar Madiev, Alina Lanina, Valeria Shkirando, and Stanislav Shirin, Guardians arrives in cinemas on February 23, 2017.
