Prime Day iPad deals are still kicking, these are the biggest sales still live

Jump To:

Amazon Prime Day iPad deals have now come to an end, but I'm still seeing record-low prices lining the shelves. Between the latest base model and the top of the range Pro, everything's still looking pretty good this morning.

iPad deals start at just $279 / £284 this week, but I'm not sure how much longer those offers are going to last. Amazon's official sale closed out at midnight on October 8, but everything was still in stock - a rarity.

With Black Friday iPad deals now on the horizon, and a whole season of savings before we get there, things are certainly only just heating up.

What to expect from Amazon Prime Day iPad deals in October 2025

Prime Day iPad deals surprised us with record-low prices on new and old releases alike earlier this year - and things are already looking good for the Fall event. Many of the models featured in July's round are already near their lowest ever prices - so there's plenty of room for them to fall further.

11th Generation iPad

Apple iPad A16 | Available at Amazon

Apple iPad A16 | Available at Amazon

MSRP: $349.99 / £329.99

Expected price: $259 - $279 / £289 - £299

This is the latest iPad to hit the shelves, and it's a refresh of the base model that replaced the super cheap 9th Gen from previous years. Its $349 MSRP gave way to a $279.99 record low in the summer, and the 128GB model has returned to this position a few times since (though only for a day or so at a time).

Things have held pretty firm at $299 otherwise, with a sturdy $50 discount that seems to have stuck around pretty reliably. It's only been back up at full price twice since summer Prime Day iPad deals, and only very briefly.

The fact that this has been a $299 tablet for so long suggests there will be further savings in October. $279 is a realistic goal, but with a few more months on the shelves and that holiday sales fever starting to take hold I wouldn't blame you for hoping for $259.

Discounts have been slower in the UK, though we do seem to be seeing a fairly permanent drop to £301 these days. The summer event had some good news, with a very quick drop to £285 - we could be around this position once again when the next round drops.

10th Generation iPad

Apple iPad 10th Gen | Available at Amazon

Apple iPad 10th Gen | Available at Amazon

MSRP: $349.99 / £329.99

Expected price: $259 / £259

The slightly older 10th Gen iPad launched at a lofty $449 / £499 but those days are thankfully over now. Apple announced a price reduction on this model last year, dropping that MSRP down to $349 / £349. Considering this tablet was on sale for $399 in previous Prime Day iPad deals that was big news.

Unfortunately, the cheaper 64GB is tough to find these days. It's been largely out of stock at a few retailers since July, but was knocking around for about $300 before then. If stock returns, we could be back at a record-low $259, but with the new 11th Gen complicating that price point I wouldn't hold out for the best value on this one.

The story is similar in the UK, with very little availability. If you do spot one for £259 over Prime Day, though, know that you're getting a record-low price.

iPad Mini

iPad Mini (A17) | Available at Amazon

iPad Mini (A17) | Available at Amazon

MSRP: $499.99 / £499.99

Expected price: $379.99 / £449 - £469

The latest iPad Mini launched towards the end of last year so the A17 version didn't see too many discounts in previous October offers.

The good news is that $499.99 / £499.99 MSRP has dwindled in more recent months. You're likely to find this one at $399 during its fairly regular sales (every other week or so), though it does pop up to full price just as frequently. We actually dropped a little lower in earlier Prime Day iPad deals, so I'm hoping for a return to that $379 position in October.

The story is reversed for the UK, though. While the 128GB model has been as low as £429 in the past (and for quite a while between March and May) it's been more expensive since then. That £499 RRP usually drops to £469, but has been stuck at that position for months now (even over previous Prime Day offers).

I'm a little more conservative in my estimates. The extra time on the shelves and that holiday sales hustle will hopefully prove me wrong, but I'm expecting a £449 - £469 position here.

iPad Air

11-inch iPad Air M3 | Available at Amazon

11-inch iPad Air M3 | Available at Amazon

MSRP: $599 / £599

Expected price: $449 / £529

13-inch iPad Air M3 | Available at Amazon

13-inch iPad Air M3 | Available at Amazon

MSRP: $799 / £799

Expected price: $649 / £729

The 11-inch iPad Air M3 was fairly quick to drop to $549.99 in the first few weeks of its life, before kicking things a little further to $479.99 in 2025's first Prime Day.

Things have changed since then, and I've seen this model at $449 fairly consistently since August. That's a new record-low, and considering its timing I'm not expecting it to get too much cheaper for Big Deal Days.

At a push, if Amazon's feeling spicy, we could see a $429 sales price - after all, the Air does stick to this discount for around a week at a time and returns to it pretty quickly (both good indicators for further savings). However, a $429 position would start to encroach on cheaper tablet prices - and Apple's rarely undercuts its own devices.

We'll likely see this one jump up in price a week before the event, before returning to $449.

The larger model has also seen similar savings, dropping to $749 shortly after launch and trickling further down to $679 in the summer. That's already cheaper than the previous generation was in last year's Prime Day iPad deals, and those numbers have been consistently hitting $649 since. The story's much the same here - at a push, we could see $629 (and it's more likely with that higher starting price), but realistically I wouldn't be surprised to see us back at $649 in October.

Over in the UK, the 11-inch model has only just started to see its own major savings. The £599 RRP has only started to slide in the last few months, giving way to a record-low £529 rate in August. I'm not expecting too many improvements over that position in the coming weeks.

The larger device has been a little more forthcoming, after launching at £799.99 earlier this year. Those numbers trickled down to £765 a few weeks later, and matched the 11-incher's timeline with a £729 record-low in August.

iPad Pro

11-inch iPad Pro M4 | Available at Amazon

11-inch iPad Pro M4 | Available at Amazon

MSRP: $999 / £1,199

Expected price: $799 - $899 / £1,149

13-inch iPad Pro M4 | Available at Amazon

13-inch iPad Pro M4 | Available at Amazon

MSRP: $1,299 / £1,299

Expected price: $999 / £1,199

The iPad Pro M4 is still holding its position on the shelves, but that doesn't necessarily mean larger price cuts. This line holds its value particularly well, with devices only really moving beyond $100 - $200 / £100 discounts when they come to the end of their lives.

That said, the 11-inch model has been firm on its current $899 sale price for some time now. The 13-incher has dipped below $1,000 for the first time this year as well, hitting $987 back in May when it's normally $1,099 day to day. Considering the regularity of that existing $200 discount, I'm holding out hope for a dip down to $999 on this one come October's Prime Day. That saving could in itself nudge the cheaper version down to $799 as well.

Things have only just started to shift in the UK, with the £1,199 11-inch model dipping down to £1,114 in August, and hovering between this and a £1,149 position since then. That's where we found ourselves in previous Prime Day iPad deals, so there could be a little more wiggle room in October's event.

Over in 13-inch land, I've seen as much as £200 off the M4 iPad Pro, but that was a particularly brief flash sale. In general, the £1,299 device generally only ever hits £1,200, but has seen an additional £50 off in the past.

When will October Prime Day iPad deals end?

After kicking off on October 7, Amazon's Big Deals Day event will end at midnight tonight (October 9) at local time. That means you need to move quickly if you want to nab one of these Prime Day iPad deals, but it's not your last chance to save – Prime Day is the start of deal season, so discounts will keep coming. And, in fact, both Best Buy and Newegg have competing sales running until October 12.

Do you need Prime for Big Deal Days?

The short answer is yes, you'll need an Amazon Prime membership to take advantage of this year's Big Deal Days offers. However, there's a longer answer in here as well.

If you're not planning on picking up a new subscription for the sale, it's worth noting that other retailers often try to compete with the global online giant, launching their own sales over the same two day period. That means you'll find many of the best Prime Day iPad deals price matched at a range of other sites. In the US, we'd recommend keeping an eye on Walmart, Best Buy, and Target, and in the UK we expect Currys, Very, and Argos to get involved as well.

Of course, you can always keep things simple and shop in one place without paying for the necessary Prime membership. Amazon often offers Prime free trials around its sales as a way to encourage more shoppers, so time it right and you could be browsing the virtual aisles without having a paid subscription.

Which iPad should you buy on Amazon Prime Day?

Thankfully, the current iPad lineup is easy to navigate in terms of who each model is aimed at. Apple's luxury tablets span from $300 to well over $1,500 in some cases, but not everyone is going to need the power of those premium Pro models. Whether you're hunting through this year's Prime Day iPad deals for work, streaming, or study, we're showing you exactly which models you should be looking for in this year's sales just below with plenty more information on each device further down the page.

What are the latest iPad models?

The iPad models you need to watch out for this Prime Day are the following:

iPad 10th Gen

iPad 11th Gen

iPad Mini 7th Gen (A17)

iPad Air M3 (11-inch)

iPad Air M3 (13-inch)

iPad Pro M4 (11-inch)

iPad Pro M4 (13-inch)

What time of year is cheapest to buy an iPad?

In general, the absolute cheapest time to buy an iPad is when its next-generation model has just released. This is when we see the heaviest discounts on each device (just look at the rates on the M1 iPad Air over the last few weeks of its life). However, these savings only last a very short amount of time and stock is incredibly fast-moving. If you're looking to buy a new generation iPad, the cheapest times of the year are July, October, and November.

July typically hosts Amazon Prime Day and November carries the full weight of Black Friday / Cyber Monday. However, Amazon has also been doubling up its Prime Day efforts in recent years, adding another sale in October. In general, these events later in the year will yield slightly lower prices on iPads than the summer. Each tablet has been on the shelves a few months longer, and the holiday shopping frenzy can sometimes squeeze those rates even further.

So when should you buy an iPad? If you're looking for the absolute lowest price possible and you don't need a new device right away, I'd recommend waiting for Black Friday. However, the price differences aren't major, and considering there's generally only around $50 in it, those who need a tablet sooner rather than later wouldn't be fools to shop in the summer.

We're also getting you prepped for all the latest Prime Day tablet deals if you're after something a little less Apple-flavored, or check out the best Prime Day Kindle deals for more focused attention. I'll also be bringing you all the latest Prime Day gaming laptop deals as soon as they land.
