I asked our hardware experts for the five best Prime Day deals you shouldn't miss
We've been spotting deals for years, and these are this Prime Day's cream of the crop savings
The Prime Day gaming discounts have been coming in fast, and there's load of great deals to pick up. An almost overwhelming amount, in fact. Thankfully, for me, I happen to work alongside some hardware experts I can annoy, ensuring that I won't be kicking myself for missing out. Now, I am extending that to you by collecting together the five biggest deals they've spotted over this Prime Day, from hours spent foraging bargains.
The picks range from some of the best controllers, to handhelds, and even Lego. But they all have one thing in common: they're somehow great savings considering in 2026 hardware can be more expensive than ever. It's all about knowing when and where to look and, like I said, that's why you and I have these hardware experts. Read on to uncover the cream of the crop, starting with...
This might have a compact size, but it's still ergonomically built with mechanical keys to ensure that the typing experience remains high quality. This is the cheapest price I've seen this for yet.

"My brother put me onto this wireless keyboard, and it's the best I've used in 15-plus years of PC gaming. Creamy clicks and a compact 75% design make it a delight for both work and play, outperforming bigger brand names at a fraction of their cost."

Andy has spent years in games media playing with hardware. Even if he hesitates to call himself an expert, his brother sure seems to be - responsible for many of Andy's impulse buy across Prime Day, Black Friday, and beyond. Sometimes I can't believe what he buys, but, to be fair to him, he's never voiced a regret in the work Slack.
The wired model is the main Scuf Valor deal this Prime Day, but this is a sturdy bit of kit that can keep pace with pretty much any gaming session, and has a lot of versatility in a set-up.

"Cheeky to include myself in our panel of hardware experts? Absolutely, especially if none of the others check this. I have a real lived fondness for the Scuf Valor Pro, which is available at its cheapest price yet, and has remained teetering on the edge of my desk next to my PC for a long time now, and I use it almost every day for a gaming session.
It's been able to beat out fancier pads thanks to its sheer sturdiness and solid form factor, the simplicity and ease of use really working for me - especially when it comes to things like capture, which is vital throughout my work day. If you want a Scuf and are happy with it being wired, this will do you proud."

An icon, a legend, and also the author of this article [sorry! - me], Oscar has bounced between format-specific brands for years, covering the launch of both PS5 and PS VR 2 across Official PlayStation Magazine and PLAY. So clumsy, he always needs a controller he can trust to withstand a drop or three.
Lego's Nintendo range continues to grow with this wonderful collectible model of Mario & Yoshi that makes for a great display piece after a satisfying build, and an action tag gives it movement as well.

"Lego is out of line for attacking me in the feels like this. I grew up on a steady diet of Super Mario World on the SNES, so the incredibly nostalgic set with Mario riding on Yoshi was always going to get me feeling wistful for the good old days. (It even moves when you turn the crank, ah!). But then the brick-makers from Billund decided to test my willpower, because this kit is now sitting pretty at a record low price at Amazon. It's never been cheaper so far as I can tell, and because the set is retiring soon, we may not get another chance to grab it before it's gone for good."
In our Super Pocket review we called it "a phenomenally cheap portable arcade machine that's an absolute joy to play on" even without being on sale! This nifty device is a great option for enthusiasts and newcomers alike who just want to mess around with some retro games.

"In a world dominated by AI chatbots, social media, and online multiplayer, it's nice to just go offline completely. That's hard to do when you're a certified video game enjoyer, but thankfully, the Super Pocket is around, keeping the physical dream alive with built in games and a cartridge slot (remember those?). It's already a pretty affordable portable, but Prime Day has knocked it under $50, which is less than most new games for that expensive box under your TV."

Phil has been messing around with hardware ever since an incident involving a Hot Wheels toy and a VCR caused their parents some problems. Now, instead of destruction, they bring new life to console set-ups, and with a love of retro hardware that involves a lot of re-wiring to get the perfect results.
The cheapest price yet on this fantastic PC & Xbox pad that has both TMR sticks and Hall Effect triggers, bringing it down to pre-owned prices, except brand new. With loads of features and customization options, this is an absolute steal.

"The GameSir G7 Pro is one of the best all-rounder controllers money can buy right now, but for all its great features, I do think there's one reason above all others as to why it's so popular. It shows GameSir off at its best - making premium gamepads with prices that humiliate the other brands it competes with.
Seriously, while Razer, Turtle Beach, Scuf, and Asus are out here selling pro controllers for $200, GameSir is happy to give gamers an almost like-for-like equivalent that costs less than half that. The G7 Pro's $79.99 price is already a big reason to consider it, so to see it drop down to $63.99 in various colorways is a no-brainer for anyone who fears they're being priced out of gaming right now."
