What Rough Beast Slouches
Nolan shouldn’t be too hard to find, but if you are having trouble, refer to the minimap
Get ready for a worthy challenge against the Aeronite
Who you get it from: Nolan, who you’ll find during Main Quest 4-4 in the Upper Level of the Temple Ruins.
When you can obtain the quest: Any time, though the monster in this quest can only be found on or after Day 7.
Rewards for completion: 8200 gil, Pro’s Beret x1, Max HP +160, Strength +12, Magic +16
Instructions for completion: Nolan wants you to defeat the Aeronite, a beast in the Giant’s Sandbox. For many, this will be the hardest enemy in the game, especially since it has four levels of stagger and time limits for each stagger. If you do not reach every subsequent stagger after three minutes from the last stagger, the Aeronite will flee, and you will have to start over.
Some useful tips: Cast Debrave and Defaith often but switch to Deprotect and Imperil during the fourth stagger. Guard against every attack whenever possible, and it’s mandatory to guard against Megaton Break and Quake. The key is to inflict damage while making small steps to the next stagger. This requires mixing up magic with physical attacks. Because of the time limits, don’t be afraid to use Overclock.

Once defeated, give Nolan the Aeronite’s Monster Flesh.
