Supergirl star Milly Alcock says she's never seen Black Widow, Captain Marvel or even Wonder Woman, jokes that's "probably not great"

Milly Alcock might play Supergirl in the DCU, but she hasn't seen some significant female-led superhero films that came before her.

According to a new profile with Variety, Alcock hasn't seen Black Widow, Captain Marvel, or the DC movie Wonder Woman. "Which is probably not great," Alcock commented. "I should just lie!"

Captain Marvel was the first MCU movie with a sole female lead, while Wonder Woman was the first DCEU film to be female-led. Black Widow, meanwhile, was the first time Scarlett Johansson's Natasha Romanoff was given top billing.

Alcock made her DCU debut in last year's Superman, in a brief cameo that saw her crash land into the Fortress of Solitude to collect her dog, Krypto. She returns as the lead of this summer's Supergirl, and she'll be back in Superman: Man of Tomorrow, too.

"I never felt that there was superhero fatigue. I felt it was mediocre movie fatigue," DC Studios co-CEO Peter Safran has said. "You gotta try something new. You have to change the game a little bit. The essential story on which Supergirl is based is something cool and original and we haven't seen before."

Along with Alcock, Supergirl stars Jason Momoa as Lobo, David Corenswet as Superman, Matthias Schoenaerts as Krem of the Yellow Hills, and Eve Ridley as Ruthye Marye Knoll.
