It sounds as though Lara Croft star Sophie Turner has been hitting the stunts a little too hard, as her recent injury has put production on Amazon's Tomb Raider series on pause.
“Sophie Turner recently experienced a minor injury,” said Amazon MGM Studios to Deadline. "As a precaution, production has briefly paused to allow her time to recover. We look forward to resuming production as soon as possible." Deadline reports that the shutdown is expected to last two weeks.
It is unclear whether Turner suffered the injury on the set of the Tomb Raider show. But it wouldn't be too surprising, as the project is based on an action-packed game series following a high-energy archaeologist, Croft, who is always on the move, fighting baddies, and running through ancient ruins.

Cameras started rolling on Amazon's Tomb Raider series on January 15, as announced by Prime Video. The streamer shared the first look at Turner as Croft, wearing a game-accurate outfit including Croft's signature tank top and shorts. It is not clear how long production should take, as Amazon has yet to confirm a release date, so we do not know how much the injury will impact Tomb Raider's journey to the screen.
Amazon is keeping plot details behind wraps, but we do know that writer Phoebe Waller-Bridge wants to harken back to the aesthetic of the original '90s game. We also have a feeling that the series may dive into Croft's background and family history, as Amazon has cast Jason Isaacs as Lara's uncle, Atlas de Mornay.
The cast also includes Sigourney Weaver, Martin Bobb-Semple, Jack Bannon, John Heffernan, Bill Paterson, Paterson Joseph, Sasha Luss, Juliette Motamed, Celia Imrie, and August Wittgenstein.
