Just a suggestion: Instead of "Pokemon Monday", call it "Pokemonday!" Not as good for seo but it sounds better :D

I'd be afraid of wailord. It's so huge that it can't be captured in a pokeball. Size matters (hurr hurr)

I would not want to run into a Duskull, my reason, they steal little kids who've been bad. I think that was in the R/S/E dex can't remember if it was for a specific version though...

I would absolutely hate to run into Skorupi or its evolved form; scorpions are bad enough at it is, but really big, ugly scorpions, now that's a problem.

@ maydae503: STAB stands for Same Type Attack Bonus. If a grass type pokemon uses a grass type move, it does more damage than if a pokemonh of another type used the move. (Not just grass type, but you get the idea)

Regarding your question on fixed genders, there are actually quite a few. I'm doing this from memory, so forgive me if I forget any... Happiny, Chansey and Blissey are always female, Froslass are always female, Gallade are only male, Vespiquen are only female, Latios is Male only, Latias is female only, Cresselia is female only (those are the only fixed gender legendary 'mon as of fourth gen. Heatran is the only legandary with non-fixed gender)...I think that's all of them. Maybe Jynx too, but I'm not sure on that one. Pokemon I would least like to meet in real life? Gengar, because I seem to recall a pokedex entry saying they eat huan souls or something...

first, i would like to submit scyther (not his ugly older brother scissor) for the pokemon of the week, on the grounds that he (scyther) is a ninja badass. second, my answer for the question of the week: aside from the legendaries (i'm looking at you, mewtwo) i think i would be most afriad of tyranitaur or aeordactyl...too jurassic park. finally, call me a noob, bout could some please explain what a STAB move is?

id be the most afraid of running into any of the legendarys or any of the ones that arent cute and cuddly and i remember finding out about this awhile ago but I found the comfy shorts guys son! it was a kid and he was talking about if he was old if they would call him the old shorts guy.... I believe he was rank 3 in the battle frointer of physic

It would be Mewtwo cause even though there's one if you piss him off he just blow up your head with confusion.

The puppy seems to get a real payoff in it's final mustachioed evolution, so I might keep him around for a while on my team.

Hooray for Pokemon Monday! Now if only you guys could put it up on the Zune marketplace it'd be perfect. And my scariest Pokemon to run into in the wild is Gyrados, easy. He's literally a sea monster. Would you ever go to the beach if you knew you might see a Gyrados? Hell, I wouldn't even go in a pool.

For question of the day im putting all legendaries aside and saying that snorlax would freek me out the most especialy if i was like a little ratata or sumthing i would be afraid that his fat butt would sit on me!!!! And i am so going to buy one of those ds shells so i can get rid of my old pink dirty cracked ds shell and get me a nice green or pikachu one. =3
  • daxhavrilak - October 12, 2010 1:23 a.m.

I'd be afraid of a flock of spearows unless im with my pickachu. :0
  • 8bitBaby - October 12, 2010 1 a.m.

will they do all the events for the US, when we get B/W you think? i hope so. my answer to the question. most of the big ones. the ones the size of dinosaurs. but also i would be afraid of any of the big legendary pokemon. hrm... maybe the little ones too. they're like kids with crazy mind powers and stuff.
  • nomnom52 - October 12, 2010 12:58 a.m.

I would be quite afraid to encounter a Croagunk on a date, I don't wanna be poison jabbed whenever I go to hug or kiss my date... Seriously though, I would be terrified of Kabutops. In one of its Pokedex (SoulSilver, to be precise) entries, it's stated that Kabutops "With sharp claws, this ferocious, ancient Pokemon rips apart prey and sucks their body fluids." Kinda scary, for a kid's game, eh?
  • Romination - October 12, 2010 12:53 a.m.

Jigglypuff. I already have a mustache and glasses, and I don't know what one of them would do to me after I fell asleep.
  • GamesRadarCarolynGudmundson - October 12, 2010 12:39 a.m.

@OrangeCrush - nooo!! I hope your copy somehow magically arrives before the 18th. IMHO I don't think Tauros and Miltank are the same as Nidoking and Nidoqueen in terms of being gender counterparts, mainly because breeding a Tauros with a Miltank will always give you a Miltank egg, but breeding a Nidoran-F and a Nidoran-M gives you equal chance of getting either gender egg. But now I just remembered Illumise and Volbeat...
  • GameManiac - October 12, 2010 12:39 a.m.

That goes with Latias and Latios as well, despite the fact that gender doesn't mean much to them. Since a lot of bug Pokemon are HUGE, it'd be pretty scary to met up with one of those. However, since most of them are cute and/or easier to tolerate (appearance-wise), I can tolerate watching even an Ariados.

oh good, I thought you guys weren't doing anymore of these after what you said last time confession time: I've never played any pokemans games, but I loved the show (still do), but yous guys's got me excited about Pokemon Black and White and I seriously can't wait to play it thanks for the podcast, and sorry about what happened to your DS, Brett really went off on TalkRadar, it was actually kinda heart warming
  • oufour - October 12, 2010 12:33 a.m.
