Here, I've brought together the Summer Game Fest 2026 schedule so you can see what showcases have been confirmed so far, and where you can catch all of the events as they happen.

Returning once again this year, the main Summer Game Fest Live showcase hosted by Geoff Keighley kicks off in June, with more livestreams and events set to follow. Promising to give us a look at what's next in the world of video games, you can expect to see a host of announcements on some of the latest new games set to come your way in 2026 and beyond. With teases of what's set to be featured already dropping in the leadup, it looks like we may potentially see more of the likes of Control: Resonant, Blood of the Dawnwalker, and maybe even Lara Croft: Legacy of Atlantis, which was announced at the Game Awards in 2025.

Plus, we'll also no doubt see some unexpected reveals in the mix, too, so you can get your bingo cards ready and start making your predictions as we approach the event. With the likes of Xbox also confirmed, along with Wholesome Games and Day of the Devs – both of which will give us an exciting look at upcoming indie games – you can find a helpful overview with all of the events, times, and dates confirmed so far detailed, as well as everything you need to know about the Summer Game Fest schedule for 2026 below in our FAQ section.

Summer Game Fest showcases 2026

While you can see the times and dates at a glance above, below I've also included a detailed overview of each showcase confirmed to be appearing as part of the Summer Game Fest 2026 schedule so far – with details about what we expect to see, what we know will be shown, and where you can watch each stream.

The Access-Ability Summer showcase is coming back for its fourth year as part of the opening day of the Summer Game Fest. With a YouTube video detailing what to expect, the showcase will include a host of different games that will all detail the accessibility settings and accessible design choices they include from a variety of developers. You can also expect to see some trailers.

Summer Game Fest Live is the big showcase of the annual event hosted by Geoff Keighley. You can expect to see updates on some exciting upcoming releases, alongside fresh reveals and world premieres. Developers also tend to make an appearance on stage to show off what they've been working on, and there's also usually a live music performance. We're still awaiting more details, but I'll keep my eyes out for more.

(Image credit: Day of the Devs)

WHEN: June 5 (timing TBC)

Day of the Devs is a digital showcase that tends to be shown immediately after the main Summer Game Fest Live stream wraps up. Usually hosted by veteran developer and Double Fine studio head, Tim Schafer, the show brings together a curated collection of exciting new games from indie developers. It's always a fun way to bookend SGF live, and I can't wait to see what will be included this year.

WHEN: June 6 at 9am PDT / 12pm EDT / 5pm BST

Wholesome Direct is back once again this year to bring us plenty of cozy gaming goodness. Designed as a showcase dedicated to games that "embrace joy, foster reflection, and inspire hope". With over 50 games set to be featured, demos will drop along with release date news, fresh reveals, and world premieres for lots of lovely indie games. In past years, we've seen a few games shadow drop during this show, so we could well see that happen again.

WHEN: June 6 at 12pm PDT / 3pm EDT / 8pm BST

Future Games Show Summer Showcase is returning as part of a trilogy of new shows during the Summer Game Fest event, with the Summer Showcase kicking things off. (Image credit: Xbox)

WHEN: June 7 at 10am PDT / 1pm EDT / 6pm BST

The Xbox Games Showcase will kick things off on Sunday, which is set to feature first gameplay looks on upcoming Xbox Series X games from first-party studios "across the Xbox family". This means you can expect news on some future releases that fall under the Xbox Game Studios umbrella – If I had to guess, I'd say we could see the likes of Fable and Clockwork Revolution make an appearance. You'll also see some games from third-party partners "from the biggest franchise", and some indie games, too.

Right after the Xbox Games Showcase wraps up, there will be a dedicated Gears of War E-Day Direct. During the show, you can expect to hear from developer The Coalition, who are behind the Gears franchise, and learn new details, get a closer look at gameplay, and gain some "insights" into the game that will draw you into the start of Emergence Day.

Summer Game Fest schedule 2026 FAQs

What is Summer Game Fest?

Summer Game Fest has filled the gap left behind after E3 was permanently cancelled back in 2023. Hosted by Geoff Keighley, the event brings together a lineup of showcases that will deliver various announcements and reveals, as well as updates on some of the most anticipated new games on the horizon.

How long does Summer Game Fest run for?

Summer Game Fest takes place over the course of four days, and officially kicks off on June 5. Showcases and events (including SGF Play Days) will then follow the main livestream up until June 8.

How long is the Summer Game Fest Live showcase?

In previous years, the Summer Game Fest Live showcase runs for around two hours, with plenty of reveals and trailers packed in. It's then followed by Day of the Devs, which adds to the total runtime with some extra indie goodness to see out the live event. We expect this year to follow suit.

What Summer Game Fest 2026 game publishers will be partnering?

We usually learn about the major publishers taking part in the Summer Game Fest event a little closer to the date of the main live show. In the past, Geoff Keighley has dropped the publishers on Twitter (X), so we'll be keeping our eyes peeled. Last year, there were 60 partner publishers, and we expect there to be plenty this year, too.

So far, we know Xbox will once again have a big presence with its own dedicated showcase event. One big question is whether or not we'll see a PlayStation State of Play this June prior to Summer Game Fest (which is what happened in 2025), but there's been no word on that so far.

Will Nintendo be at Summer Game Fest 2026?

Historically, Nintendo tends to hold its own Direct Showcases when it comes to big announcements, and we've yet to get confirmation that it will be taking part in Summer Game Fest 2026, or if there will be a June Direct. But there's always the chance we could see some updates on some big upcoming Switch 2 games. With some major projects in the works, I would love to see updates on the likes of FromSoftware's The Duskbloods.
