The Witness walkthrough & puzzle guide

Bamboo Forest (Jungle)

There are a few different entrances to the Bamboo Forest (Jungle) area, but the most convenient is the path from the rear of the Red Tree Temple (Monastery) area.

Go through that entrance path then turn left up the steps, before taking the first exit on the right to find the initial panel.

Hint: There is a speaker next to the panel, so listen carefully.

Draw out the shape of the sounds you hear, ranging from high to middle to low pitch.

Head to the top of the area, where a switch is now powered up.

This pops a panel up from the ground, blocking the path so you'll need to go around the outside of the area to re-enter and reach the other side.

Hint: Apply the area rules to the sizes of the hexagons.

Go through the hexagons in the right order for the sounds heard - the smaller the hexagon, the higher the pitch.

With those panels solved, head to the bamboo maze in the middle of the area and locate the concealed path by the central tree (it's in the middle of this image).

Swipe the lock to activate the laser, unlocking the Jungle trophy.

You can also unlock a door here to open up a shortcut to the centre of the map.

If you head to the beach at the side of this area there's another boat station you can activate.

There is also a stray panel to be found on top of a trunk, which can be accessed from either the beach or the path by the first panel in the locations shown above.
