Hey collectors, here's all the Nintendo Switch 2 amiibo releasing in 2026 so far
There's still time to pre-order
Another year means another year of amiibos. At least, it does for me and the swarms of other Nintendo Switch 2 accessory collectors out there.
There haven't been waves of new amiibo announced since we all rang in the New Year those many days ago, much to my dismay. However, a ton of the NFC toys that were unveiled last year are finally landing on the online and physical shelves, from the stellar Rosalina and Lumas figure available still to pre-order for $39.99 at Best Buy, to the latest in the line, the adorable Diana from Pragmata, which is available to pre-order for $29.99 at GameStop right now.
If you're trying to keep up with your collection, I've gathered all the amiibo available to pre-order that are launching in 2026 down below. I'll also be adding to this page if and when any new Ninty figures come our way. That way, you can hopefully spend less time worrying about any pre-orders you've missed, and more time clearing up some shelf space - as you're gonna need it.
Pragmata Diana amiibo | Pre-order for $29.99 at GameStop
Release date: April 27, 2026
The super cute Diana amiibo is the newest pre-order to drop online, featuring Pragmata's android companion in her all adorable glory. Tapping it on your Joy-Con will unlock a supply of weapons and recovery items, and you'll be able to do just that when she launches on April 27, a few days after the game lands on the Switch 2.

Rosalina and Lumas - Super Mario Galaxy amiibo | Pre-order for $39.99 at Best Buy
Release date: April 2, 2026
The Super Mario Galaxy 1 and 2 collection might have come and gone on Switch, but the amiibos are still available to pre-order. This Rosalina and Lumas figure in particular won't be able to join your collection until April 2, around the same time as the release of the upcoming Super Mario Galaxy Movie.
Super Mario - Super Mario Galaxy amiibo | Pre-order for $39.99 at Best Buy
Release date: April 2, 2026
Just like Rosalina, this brand-new amiibo showcasing Mario about to blast off via a Warp Star won't be available until April 2 later this year. Fortunately, that leaves plenty of time to pre-order the figure before it blasts onto digital store shelves.
Meta Knight & Shadow Star - Kirby Air Riders Series | Pre-order for $49.99 at Best Buy
Release date: March 5, 2026
Kirby Air Riders may have launched last November, but this incredibly detailed Meta Knight amiibo with his Shadow Star vehicle doesn't release until March 5 later this year. One of the priciest NFC figures out there, that's great news for those who need extra time to set aside the funds to add this to their collections.
UK: £33.99 at Nintendo
Do you need amiibo for your Nintendo Switch 2?
Amiibos are not the most important accessory for your Nintendo Switch 2. Unlike the best Nintendo Switch headsets, which I swear by for the best gaming on the go experience, you can get by just fine without them. However, they can make your experience with Ninty's latest handheld all the better, providing you have the budget to add one or two to your setup.
I've been collecting the NFC toys since the 3DS era, and have amassed over a hundred of the things, and they not only brighten up my games room but also my time with my favorite games too. Any time I delve back into the Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild or Tears of the Kingdom, I always ensure I have them at arm's length, as tapping the amiibo on the right Joy-Con stick grants me a ton of chests full of extra weapons and resources. For a more recent example, the brand new Animal Crossing New Horizons Version 3.0 update landed, and because I own a vast amount of Zelda and Splatoon amiibo, I was able to invite the new exclusive Zelda and Splatoon villagers to my island, and unlock all the special items that came along with them.
Had I not had any of those amiibo, I'd have missed out on those new additions to one of my favorite Switch games. It's the same for all the figures I've listed above that you don't have to pre-order, but if you want to unlock extra content and experiences in your games, they are the way to go.

Weekly digests, tales from the communities you love, and more

Ever since I first held a NES controller in my hand I've been obsessed with gaming, and the hardware it runs on. I could hook up a NES and SNES to a telly, without instructions, before I could walk. Even now, nothing is more exciting then taking a console, or handheld, out the box for the first time and setting it up. This obsession transformed into a love of games and game music, which lead to my music degree and dream of becoming the Scottish Nobuo Uematsu. After sharing my love of games through music, I began to share my love through words on sites like TechRadar and iMore. This lead to becoming a Hardware staff writer for PCGamesN, and later the Senior Tech Writer for Dexerto, covering all things Steam Deck, PlayStation and Nintendo. With that experience, I was able to level up as Hardware Editor for GamesRadar+, where I'm still just as Nintendo, PlayStation and gaming tech obsessed as ever.
