Fantastic Four bags new screenwriter

There’s been plenty of movement on Josh Trank’s forthcoming reboot of Fantastic Four over the last few days, with Matthew Vaughn confirmed as producer and now Seth Grahame-Smith coming on board to do a script treatment.

The project’s existing script was written by Jeremy Slater, but Grahame-Smith (who wrote the script for Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter ) has now been approached to give it a bit of a polish.

It’s not the film’s only high-profile appointment of the week, with Mark Millar confirming that Matthew Vaughn will come on board in a production capacity.

“Just off the phone with Fox and some excellent news," Millar posted on Twitter. "Matthew Vaughn is producing Josh Trank's Fantastic Four reboot.”

We’re still waiting on casting news at this stage, but it looks as though the pieces are beginning to fall into place on this one. Fantastic Four will open in the US on 6 March 2015.
