Potential Ant-Man cameos link it to rest of Marvel Cinematic Universe

With Ant-Man set to begin filming in the next few weeks, a new rumour has emerged regarding some potential cameos, shedding some light on how the film might fit in with the rest of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

According to the team at Latino Review , an early draft of the script includes a scene in which Hank Pym has a meeting with Howard Stark, Peggy Carter and Armin Zola, linking the film rather strongly to the Captain America series.

Also present at said meeting is a younger version of Alexander Pierce, the character portrayed by Robert Redford in Captain America: The Winter Soldier . Could we see his story fleshed out in both Ant-Man and the upcoming Agent Carter series?

At present, it remains unclear how early a draft this scene has been lifted from, and with Edgar Wright now having departed the project, this could well be on the cutting room floor by this stage. Still, it’s an interesting insight into how Ant-Man might fit into the bigger Marvel picture…

Directed by Peyton Reed and co-starring Paul Rudd, Michael Douglas and Evangeline Lilly, Ant-Man will open in the UK on 17 July 2015.
