KH 3 hopefully, I'm tired of all the handheld games in the series.. I played KH 1 and 2 and bits and pieces of the handhelds but I still don't know WTF is going on with the story currently lol, anyone care to explain what's up with all the xehanorts in KH:DDD. All i know is they are preparing to fight the old xehanort from birth by sleep

I had forgotten how many good games are coming out this year - can't wait! I also think you should have included War for the Overworld in August. It's been going for a few years but they went through a lot of changes and did a Kickstarter last year which raised a lot. It's a spiritual successor to Dungeon Keeper - they have even raised enough to recruit the original Mentor voice actor.

Hi. I noticed that may of these games are or will run on Linux but they are not mentioned. Having sponsored many of these games on condition that there would be a Linux version I thought I'd clarify which ones will run on those who love Linux as much as I do. The games in this list that will run on Linux that this article neglected to mention are: 89. Jane Jensen’s Moebius (Adventure game) 80. Godus (strategy) 72. Wasteland 2 (RPG) 48. Shadowrun Returns 38. Double Fine Adventure (Adventure game) 35. Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs (horror adventure all this company's games run in Linux) Other games being released I feel are worth mentioning are: Project Eternity (RPG by the creators of Baldur's Gate/Icewind Dale, will run in Linux for 2014, I HATE waiting, especially since they raised nearly 4 million dollars.. ;-) Sir, You are Being Hunted (FPS Strategy) Hero-U: Rogue to Redemption (made by the people who did The Quest for Glory series) (RPG) The Broken Sword: The Serpent's Curse (Adventure game) Dreamfall Chapters (No Linux mentioned yet...sorry fans, PC/Mac only) Tex Murphy - Project Fedora (Full Motion Video Adventure game) Legends of Eisenwald (RPG) There were a lot of premium games being product for Linux coming out 2013 and 2014 so I think its important for gaming news to inform on ALL platforms that a game is being released on. Ouya (Android based gaming console) is something this site may want to watch this year. I hope this help clarify those confused by lack of mention for Linux for games being released on that platform. Cheers.

For some reason I agree with your first pick. :) Infinite has been my most anticipated game since the millisecond it has been announced. Other than that I've got The Last of Us, Tomb Raider and Ni No Kuni, all preordered. I'll keep an eye on The Last Guardian, hoping it gets a release date someday... That's about it for 2013...

There's an awful lot of under-whelming games on the list. Kind of surprised Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn wasn't on the list anywhere considering how SE is trying to change the way MMO companies handle underwhelming subscriptions instead of going F2P and how the company plans on rebuilding trust in the whole Final Fantasy franchise with the game's innovations.

Love the irony of calling games that have yet to come out underwhelming. And then expect people to anticipate the reworking of a game that was universally acknowledged to be underwhelming.

Top 5 is solid. I cannot stop watching the Watch Dogs gameplay trailer. The only way this game will be played with this quality in 2013 (if it is released in 2013) is if it is on PC (and said PC is one serious rig). Also, can't wait to play Last of Us. I love the Uncharted trilogy and this game looks pretty amazing. I will be happy in 2013. Probably going to pick up one of the latest handhelds coming out this year that runs Android so I can have a nice portable emulator. All-in-all not a bad year.

Fallout 4!! They are making another Fallout, right?
  • sandplasma - January 11, 2013 8:21 a.m.

Hotline Miam 2 and Plants vs Zombies 2. Enough said.
  • Shadow Of Death - January 11, 2013 7:03 a.m.

No Starbound? I am disappoint. Some of the games on the list are ones I'm looking forward to a fair bit though, yeah.

101: ANY mention of HL3 or Episode 3
  • JerryC - February 10, 2013 10:33 a.m.

    Sorry, HL3 was cancelled

Oh man, that top 20 is so good looking and considering how many unannounced games there might be, even consoles, I have a feeling 2013 will be insane.

Castlevania Lords of Shadow 2 is very high on my most wanted list. The original LoS is easily one of my favourite games this gen. An epic heart-tugging story, glorious enviroments, a sweet light magic/dark magic combat system, awesome boss battles and a simply stunning soundtrack. I'm eager to see where the story goes now what we'll be playing as big bad Dracula himself. "Have at you!" The Last of Us is bound to be awesome too, and I'm interested in DmC and Tomb Raider. An Assassins Creed 3 prequel starring Hatham Kenway would be cool, considering he's the only character I gave one shite about in AC3. Oh yeah, now I've had some time to pour over the trailer and get swept up in the hype, I'm MASSIVELY excited for the next Pokemon games! I'm currently playing through Black 2 and I love it, but I'd love to see X and Y shake up the formula and bring in a whole host of improvements (character creation/customisation pleeeeeeeease!). I'll keep my eye on Lightning Returns: FFXIII, even if the trailer is pretty underwhelming at this point. I really enjoyed the first two games, so I'm obligated to play the new one if only to see how the story wraps up.
