I'm looking forward to some of these, to be sure. One thing the list didn't mention that I'm looking forward to though, is Starbound (though it has a slight chance of coming out this year still, but I'm calling that unlikely).

I'm seriously excited for about 7/10 games on this list. Hell I'm even excited for a couple of the Playstation exclusives and I don't even own a playstation! Looking forward the most to Bioshock Infinite though, it's gonna be great!

As big of a fan of Gears of War as I am, I think Judgment is simply coming out too soon. I've waited so long for Gears of War 3 between that and 2 (and a long time between 2 and 1), so having another one that doesn't really shake the board up enough has me thinking "meh." Gears of War has always been my favorite to me, almost solely because each game plays very, very differently from each other. But yes, Infinite is my top most-Anticipated game since it was announced... I'm hoping the delays are worth. Also, I've never played ANY Grand Theft Auto before, because I never liked the idea. I did, however, adore Red Dead Redemption to unprecedented heights, so should I go back and play IV?

Four was ok. In my opinion, it was pretty weak as a GTA game. Some people would probably disagree with me, but for me, it didn't feel like it improved upon the past games, just created a new story with the same typical format. Like I said in a different post, I'll never understand all the hype over GTA games. It's more or less the same game every time with differences in story each time. That doesn't necessarily mean they aren't good games, but they definitely aren't as innovative as everyone claims they are. Yes, GTA 3 was one of the most innovative games of all time, but since that, nothing has really changed much. I personally wouldn't look forward to ANY game too much, because the more you hype yourself up for a game, the more likely you are to be disappointed. If you just anticipate a game instead of trying to make it live up to hype, you'll probably enjoy it quite a bit more.

go and play Vice City or San Andreas. Yeah the graphics are now dated, but the gameplay is all there

I recently found my old copy of the original GTA for PS1 and stuck it on for old times sake, found that even after all these years it's still more fun than GTA IV, which took itself way too seriously. As someone's already mentioned, try and get hold of Vice City or San Andreas if you really want see what the series is all about :)

4 was great. more akin to gta3 than VC or SA, the focus was on the world rather than giving you a ludicrous amount to do in it. the dlc add-ons are more akin to VC (in that they added more to the formula, with the framework already in place), so hopefully, gta5 will be this gen's san andreas. i think one of the problems that gta4 had was the fact that it took place in new york, which, geographically speaking, is quite boring, and somewhere that people have stomped around in too many times. but really, given the fact that the last few games could all be had on the cheap, you'd really lose nothing by giving them all a try (especially if you love RDR:)

I did play San Andreas and I actually thoroughly enjoyed it. Even so, after every release, there seems to be very little innovation in the games. Four took a huge step backward for the series, at least from a personal standpoint. I didn't have near the enjoyment I did with SA. It does look like they're trying out some new ideas with the next one and so far I like some of the ideas.. I'll probably get it just like everyone else, but until we actually see some gameplay, people should really hold off on calling it the best/most anticipated game of the year, especially since the year just started.

I'm most excited about Pikmin 3 and GTA V. I really, REALLY hope GTA V comes to PC (or Wii U). I don't know if my 2006 PS3 will last much longer.
  • Zeos - December 3, 2012 7:17 p.m.

    Bioshock Infinite FTW.
  • christian-shaffer - December 3, 2012 7:08 p.m.

South Park: Stick of Truth is easily my #1 most anticipated game of 2013. Hell it's my most anticipated game of the past several years. I honestly can't believe you left it out. I played the DMC demo and really wasn't very impressed. A game that is basically a long South Park episode though. How could you pass that up?
  • ExtraCheese - December 3, 2012 7:01 p.m.

Got a rogue p tag in the Gears slide
  • Civfanatic - December 3, 2012 6:43 p.m.

From that list, the only one that has my interest is SimCity. I'm looking forward to Rome 2, Wasteland 2 and Planetary Annihlation. Sigh.. my PS3 will continue to be a FIFA 13 arcade machine.
  • taokaka - December 3, 2012 5:48 p.m.

Next Year is going to be expensive for me, my most anticipated games are the last of us, god of war ascension, bioshock infinite, beyond two souls, ni no kuni, persona 4 golden(not out in Australia yet), tomb raider, tales of xillia and not to mention a few possible 2013 releases like professor layton x pheonix wright and Blazblue chrono phantasma. But there are still so many more I'm interested in, damn why do I have to choose from so many great games #first world problems
  • slimjim441 - December 3, 2012 5:45 p.m.

Castlevania Lords of Shadow 2. Put that shit on there. Or Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeros, if that's been confirmed for 2013.
  • BladedFalcon - December 3, 2012 6:37 p.m.

Neither have been confirmed for 2013, actually... Considering we haven't seen anything new on LoS2, I wouldn't be surprised if they only started showing gameplay on next E3, and then announce it for 2014. ...For all we know, it could be a next gen game ._.
  • slimjim441 - December 3, 2012 10:11 p.m.

But it's getting a new gameplay trailer during the VGAs on sunday. D:
  • Disturbed1117 - December 3, 2012 5:41 p.m.

  • jesse9o3 - December 4, 2012 8:11 a.m.
