If you remember seventh grade parties or awkward family picnics, you more than likely remember the game of Twister. Now, Majesco Entertainment has announced a partnership with toy maker Hasbro to bring the classic bendy party game into the 21st century with Twister Mania for Xbox Kinect.
Twister Mania will support up to eight limber players and include three game modes with 16 variations that more or less consist of bending into different positions and shapes, and mocking other players as they attempt to do the same. Just some of the game types include Twist & Fit, a play on the Human Tetris formula; Shape Frenzy, a game involving shapes...and frenzies; and Spot On, a contest where players try to out-pose their competition.
Majesco is still riding high off its success with the Zumba Fitness franchise. Nevertheless, its CEO Jesse Sutton believes Twister Mania can show the world Majesco has more than a few motion sensing tricks up its sleeves, telling Reuters, "Investors right now just look at Zumba, but Twister is definitely one of the products we see as a major potential hit."
Twister Mania will spin into game stores this November.
