The best Prime Day Nintendo Switch deals 2025: the biggest savings still live
Bag some post Prime Day Switch deals while you still can
The Prime Day Nintendo Switch deals came to an official close at midnight on October 8 however, some deals are still holding on strong. The two-day event saw some excellent sales on the latest Switch 2 and 1 games, accessories, and more, and some of these are still up for grabs if you're fast enough.
If you're after some Switch games, the likes of Mario vs Donkey Kong are still down to their record low price of $39.99 at Amazon, and you'll be able to play them with ease in your Switch 2 thanks to its backwards compatibility. Yakuza 0 Director's Cut is also still down to just $37 at Amazon, the lowest ever price for the Switch 2 version so far. As a game-key card, you won't find the full game on the cart with this post Prime Day saving, but it's still a worthwhile pick-up for anyone new to the Yakuza/Like a Dragon series.
Speaking of the Switch 2, the 1TB Lexar microSD Express card deal has only gotten cheaper once the sales have ended. You can now grab the card for $157.96 at Amazon, a whole $28 less than its lowest price over the two-day sales event. That's still a lot to pay for some extra storage, but if you're desperate for some space for your handheld, it's worth checking out before the Prime Day deals dry up for good.

Nintendo Switch blue/red (renewed) | $315 $227 at Amazon
Save $87 – This refurbed classic Switch is going for 87 bucks less than its brand new counterpart (listed right now at a discounted $315 also on Amazon, but remember, they cost $299 before the RRP price hike). And hey, it's still cheaper than a Switch 2 in any case!
Nintendo Switch white OLED model (renewed) | $373.99 $269.95 at Amazon
Save $112 – If you're not looking to splash out $450 on a brand new Switch 2, then this renewed Switch 1 OLED model is an amazing price for a console that'll still let you play all the best Nintendo Switch games on a large, crisp screen. It's not the lowest ever price for these refurbished consoles and has admittedly ticked up a tad since day one of Prime Day, but it's still a very budget-friendly Switch deal for the savings savvy gamer.
UK: £218 at Amazon
Nintendo Switch Mario Kart 8 deluxe bundle | $499 $404.99 at Amazon
Save $94– Some might say (COUGH GamesRadar+ says) that Mario Kart 8 is actually better than Switch 2's Mario Kart World, and you get to decide for yourself now that this bundle is on sale for a 19% discount. You even get three months of Switch Online with the deal, as well as a 128GB microSD memory card, the game, and a brand new console. So all in all, it's a pretty great late Prime Day Switch deal snag.
UK: OOS at Amazon
Nintendo Switch Lite yellow (renewed) | $193.34 $156 at Amazon
Save $37 – If you're shopping for the sleekest and most colorful Switch in the console family, this refurbed Switch Lite in yellow is going at the average lowest sales price of a brand new console. Considering that new Lites are retailing for just after Prime Day at $206, this is a very good discount for a machine that should feel brand new anyway.
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate | $59.99 $49.99 at Amazon
Save $10 – It's not listed as a discount, but at ten bucks below RRP, it certainly is a post Prime Day Switch deal worth mentioning. Like other Switch games, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate also works on Switch 2, although it's not been given a Switch 2 upgrade, so don't expect an enormous difference between consoles right now.
UK: £44.95 at Amazon
Stray | $39.99 $30.98 at Amazon
Save $9 – At just a couple dollars more than its record low sales price, Stray for Nintendo Switch is a gorgeous post Prime Day bargain for your handheld. Not bad, considering the adorable feline adventure game only launched on Switch last year!
UK: £29.99 at Amazon
Mario Vs. Donkey Kong | $49.99 $39.99 at Amazon
Save $10 - The GBA classic puzzler returns in this luxurious full remake for Switch. This Amazon Prime Day deal is the best price we've seen it for too, and it's still going strong long after the deals have ended. Though it may seem steep for a game with such retro origins, this is a beloved cult classic for a reason, reimagining the feud between Mario and DK as a delightfully devilish chin-stroker that has you mastering over 130 levels.
UK: £39.99 at Amazon
Yakuza 0 Director's Cut (Switch 2) | $49.99 $37 at Amazon
Save $12.99 - Yes, this is a game-key card, and I know not everyone's a fan. However, if you own a Switch 2 and have yet to play this Yakuza/Like a Dragon series prequel, this Prime Day deal (which is still available after the sales event has officially ended) is worth taking advantage of as it's down to its lowest ever price right now.
UK: £32.95 at Amazon
The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom (Nintendo Switch) | $69.99 $57.50 at Amazon
Save $12 - The original Switch version of Tears of the Kingdom is just cents up from its lowest ever sales price. Even if you have a Switch 2 by now, you can still pop this copy into your Switch 2 and grab the upgrade pack via your Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack membership get the enhanced version for less.
UK: £44.99 at Amazon
Nintendo Switch Sports | $54.99 $49.99 at Amazon
Save $10 - Play golf, soccer, volleyball, bowling, tennis, badminton, and chambara (the latter of which involves waving around a sword.) It also comes with a handy leg strap so you can actually kick that soccer ball. Nintendo Switch Sports has never been cheaper by my estimations, so this is an excellent post Prime Day Switch steal for the indoorsy-outdoorsy types.
UK: £31.95 at Amazon
Kirby Mouthful PowerA Wireless Controller for Nintendo Switch | $49.99 $29.99 at Amazon
Save $20 - This Prime Day deal is great whether you own a Switch or Switch 2, as the adorable PowerA controller is compatible with both, and its currently discounted price is still going strong after the sales have officially come to a close. The current saving on this wireless gamepad isn't a record low, but it is just a few dollars off its lowest ever price, and who can say no to Kirby's cute face?
UK: £33.44 at Amazon
PowerA Comfort Grips | $16.99 $11.49 at Amazon
Save $5 - This Prime Day deal (which is still live after the sales event) is not only great, but it also comes in a variety of colors. This specific wireless holster for your Switch OG Joy-Cons has comfortable hand grips, is lightweight, and enhances your overall gameplay.
UK: £12.99 at Amazon
Nintendo Switch Neon Purple and Orange Joy-Con | $89.99 $78.49 at Amazon
Save $10 – Not the largest ever discount we've seen on these brightly-colored Joy-Con for Switch 1, but if you're looking for a brand-new, official pair of controllers, this deal is still worth considering. After all, they're still compatible with the Switch 2 if you pair them wirelessly – you just can't physically attach them to the new console.
Lexar 1TB Play PRO microSD Express Card | $219.99 $157.96 at Amazon
Save $62 – If you want to futureproof your new Switch 2, this 1TB micro SD Express Card from Lexar was down to $186.88 over Prime Day and has plummeted further to just $157.96. That's still a lot to fork out for some extra game storage, but it's one of the few 1TB cards on the market right now, and its current deal price is the lowest I've spotted it for since launch.
What to expect
The upcoming October Amazon Prime Day Nintendo Switch deals are arriving at an ideal time. There's only 11 weeks separating October 7 from the holidays, so you can grab some gifts for the Nintendo fan in your life and still have weeks to spare. Additionally, the deals land just over 4 months since the launch of the Nintendo Switch 2, so there should hopefully be some better deals on Switch 2 games and accessories than the last Prime Day.
Just like July, don't expect to see any savings on the actual Switch 2 itself, nor on its Mario Kart World bundle. I suspect we'll have to wait until at least this year's Black Friday sales before we see even a fraction of savings off the handheld itself. However, its mere existence might result in Amazon dropping the prices of some Switch, Switch OLED, and Switch Lite goodies, older Switch accessories, and even physical Switch games – the latter of which could be especially handy for those who want to build up their new Switch 2 game library on a budget.
Of course, sticking with the last-gen Nintendo Switch to save some extra cash is entirely valid, and these Prime Day sales could be more vital than ever to bolstering your existing Switch setup. Just be sure that you're grabbing an actual bargain in the US, as the prices hikes have complicated things a little bit. For example, the OLED Switch was $349.99 at launch, but it now retails for $399.99. If you want to make sure you're getting your money's worth, you're gonna want to grab it for as close to (or below) its original MSRP as possible.
Nintendo is known to sparingly drop discounts on its first-party games. No matter the year, you're unlikely to see more than $10 off even the latest releases, especially at Amazon. Even launch titles like The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild for the original handheld have rarely seen more than $10 off, and the Switch version of the game launched back in 2017.
July's Prime Day Nintendo Switch deals saw games like Super Mario Bros Wonder, and Luigi's Mansion 2 HD drop in price, with both games receiving $10 off in particular, and that's about what you can expect.
The Nintendo Switch 2's existence does spice things up a little. With the console being backward compatible with older games, I recommend keeping an eye on discounts on titles that perform better on the new device. Notably, older Switch games like Pokemon Scarlet and Violet have now been optimised for the Nintendo Switch 2, with improved frame rates, making it the perfect time to pick them up for your new handheld.
Not only that, but buying older games can actually save you extra cash in the long run. For example, Super Mario Jamboree has its own Switch 2 edition with an MSRP of $79.99 / £64.95. However, grabbing the original Switch copy, and later the Switch 2 upgrade pack for $19.99 / £16.99 can be ultimately cheaper in the long run, especially this Prime Day.
When it comes to Switch 2 games, there's a tiny chance you could see some cash off titles like Mario Kart World and Donkey Kong Bananza. The Switch 2 launch line-up is pretty sparse when it comes to first-party games, but I have already seen some US and UK retailers discounting the physical releases by small amounts. With the Pokemon Legends Z-A bundle arriving later in October, Nintendo and Amazon could be planning to drop at least $10 off first-party Switch 2 games in order to entice new Switch 2 players to buy new games - it's unlikely, but not impossible.
You're more likely to see cash shaved off third-party releases, and ones that contain game-key cards at that. This August, Amazon dropped $10 off a ton of game-key card releases, like Raidou: Remastered – The Mystery of the Soulless Army Launch Edition, which dropped from $49.99 to $39.99, and Puyo Puyo Tetris 2S, which dropped from $39.99 to $29.99. Of course, you'll have to be okay with not owning the full game on the cart, but these can still be deals worth grabbing nonetheless.
I expect the trend of game-key card discounts to continue, and to be the main player when it comes to Switch 2 game savings. However, keeping an eye on older Switch games is still ideal, especially ones that run better on the new handheld. Even if those discounts are still only $10, it's still a worthwhile way to grab any older games you may have missed and make your new Switch 2 game collection as impressive as possible.
What to expect from Amazon Prime Day Nintendo Switch accessory deals
Official Nintendo Switch accessories seldom drop their price tags - and due to the price changes, first-party accessories are even more expensive. Right now, you can expect to pay around $60 for a Pro Controller and $89 for a set of Joy-Con, even months into the release of the Switch 2. However, third-party accessories regularly take some serious discounts over Prime Day – and there are a few you need to have on your radar, whether you're sticking with the older Switch or upgrading to the new Switch 2 right now.
For example, there's the Genki ShadowCast. Third-party gadgets that open you up to big-screen play on a range of different devices while you're out and about like this are a solid purchase. If you need to play on a slightly smaller screen (an iPad or laptop, for example), the Genki ShadowCast should be on your list, and last July, it was just $39.99, a whole 20% off for Prime Day.
Now that the Switch 2 has been out for a while now this Prime Day is one to watch for Switch 2 accessories deals. Plenty of third-party brands have a plethora of accessories available to be picked up, many of which boast some decent discounts. In fact, accessory maker JSAUX slashed the prices of its Switch 2 accessories, like its 3-Pack Tempered Glass Screen Protector for Nintendo Switch 2, during July's Prime Day deals, so I expect that even more brands will follow suit this October.
I'm keeping a watchful eye on savings on not just Switch 2 screen protectors, but everything from compatible controllers, cases, and especially the new Switch 2 microSD Express Cards, and sharing them here now that the sales have properly kicked off.

Weekly digests, tales from the communities you love, and more

Ever since I first held a NES controller in my hand I've been obsessed with gaming, and the hardware it runs on. I could hook up a NES and SNES to a telly, without instructions, before I could walk. Even now, nothing is more exciting then taking a console, or handheld, out the box for the first time and setting it up. This obsession transformed into a love of games and game music, which lead to my music degree and dream of becoming the Scottish Nobuo Uematsu. After sharing my love of games through music, I began to share my love through words on sites like TechRadar and iMore. This lead to becoming a Hardware staff writer for PCGamesN, and later the Senior Tech Writer for Dexerto, covering all things Steam Deck, PlayStation and Nintendo. With that experience, I was able to level up as Hardware Editor for GamesRadar+, where I'm still just as Nintendo, PlayStation and gaming tech obsessed as ever.
