As mentioned, outfits in Black Flag Resynced have no mechanical function and it doesn't matter what outfit you wear, unlike in the previous game where they did have certain effects. That means you choice of outfit is fully dictated by fashion and personal preference as you explore Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced, and the general vibe you want to give off. Speaking personally, I am enormously fond of Captain Morgan's Redingote, which is probably the most "piratey" outfit in the whole game.
