The biggest Fall Guys Season 2 changes as we travel back to medieval times

The much anticipated Fall Guys Season 2 has arrived, and Mediatonic haven't been resting on their laurels despite the meteoric rise to success the game has had. There have been plenty of Fall Guys Season 2 changes introduced, including new customisation options, playlists to limit the types of rounds you'll face, and a generous extra helping of Crowns to supplement your Episode wins in Fall Guys. If you're ready to get Medieval on those jelly beans, then here's everything you need to know about the biggest Fall Guys Season 2 changes.

1. There are new levels and a Middle Ages theme

Of course, one of the biggest and most exciting changes for Fall Guys Season 2 is the arrival of new Fall Guys levels, to expand the existing roster beyond the Slime Climbs and See Saws that we all love (or hate). Wall Guys promises complete chaos as players try to build steps to climb up the arena, while Knight Fever pits competitors against a gauntlet run of obstacles including the already infamous Thicc Bonkus. Existing rounds Egg Scramble and Hoopsie Daisy have also been given a Medieval makeover as Egg Siege and Hoopsie Legends.

2. Fresh costumes have arrived

A whole new wardrobe of Medieval outfits, emotes, and more are up for grabs, so you can dress up your jelly bean to match the Middle Ages theme surrounding them in Fall Guys Season 2. There's another set of 40 items to unlock by progressing through Episodes and levelling up, plus the regular updates in the Shop continue to bring a stream of fresh options.

3. Costume randomisation is here

Depending on how far you progressed last season and how much Kudos you spent in the Shop, you may be approaching Fall Guys Season 2 with a wardrobe already stuffed with outfit options. If you're struggling to choose your favourite look or just want to mix things up, simply hit the Random prompt under the Outfits menu until you find a combination to strut into your next show with.

4. You can customise your nameplate

An extra customisation option has been added for Fall Guys Season 2, under a new 'Interface' section. Here you can add a banner to go around your name with an icon and matching background, as well as choose a nickname to be displayed such as "Cool Bean", "Big Yeeted", and "Sir Hugs A Lot" – new banners and nicknames can be unlocked through season progress or bought in the Shop, and there will also be some special names added for players who contribute significantly to the Fall Guys community, so watch this space.

5. Show Selector lets you skip the team games

A lot of players aren't keen on the team games, and if you've ever been paired up with a group of uncooperative jelly beans in Fall Ball or Hoarders then you'll have felt that pain. Thankfully in Fall Guys Season 2 you can avoid those types of rounds completely, by using the Show Selector in the main menu to select Gauntlet Showdown and play Episodes that only feature gauntlet rounds. This option does have a countdown timer attached, which suggests that different playlists may appear in the Show Selector as the season continues.

6. There are now more Crowns for everyone!

If you're not winning Episodes, the only other way to get the Crowns in-game currency is to unlock them through your Seasons progress. The first time round you could only earn 3 Crowns this way, but Fall Guys Season 2 is much more generous and you can collect a massive 21 Crowns just by levelling up! This means that featured costume crossovers (which usually are split into two sections costing 5 Crowns each) will be available to many more players, and after Jacket from Hotline Miami, Bullet Kin from Enter The Gungeon, and P-Body from Portal have all made appearances, it's likely that more publishers will be lining up for a similar treatment as the popularity of Fall Guys continues to grow.
