Bullseye actor Wilson Bethel says his main frustration with Daredevil: Born Again season 1 is that it wasn't as explosive as season 2... and we understand.
"My only frustration, and I don't think I'm setting the world on fire with this comment, but I think... I have so much respect for what this show is and has been," Bethel said on the Brandon Davis Show. "I think the fans are so deeply invested, have so much respect for this show, hold it to such a high standard... It was frustrating for me a little bit that we had to settle at all in coming back with that first season. I wanted the quality of this season, season 2 Born Again, that's what I wanted for the first season."
"People had been waiting six, seven years... how different does it hit if out the gate you get a fucking banger season of TV? And we had some good moments, but it was not that fucking [level of], 'Oh shit! Daredevil's back.' But whatever, man... we made it."

Some of the critiques, from both fans and critics, concerned the CGI, fight choreography, the fact that it took Matt Murdock a couple of episodes before he put the Daredevil suit back on, and overall that it paled in comparison to the original Netflix show.
Daredevil: Born Again season 2 has a 93% Critic score and a 90% audience rating, with the bulk of reviews stating that the show improved on basically every single problem with the first season... right down to making the fight choreography more technical (because nothing is cooler than that season 4 fight scene with Bullseye) and bringing back Foggy Nelson (albeit in a very, very long flashback that gave us a full episode with him).
