Amy Adams talks Man Of Steel

Marvel’s Phase Two project may have been hogging the headlines of late, but we shouldn’t forget that another superhero spectacular is just around the corner in the form of Zack Snyder’s Man Of Steel .

Amy Adams will play Lois Lane in the forthcoming reboot, and she’s had a few things to say regarding her co-stars Henry Cavill and Michael Shannon.

“You feel like you're in scenes with Superman," says Adams of Cavill’s performance. "He is completely invested and yoked and he just really took the role very seriously and yeah, he's fantastic, he's just so yum. He's the nicest guy.”

“Whenever I had to look into his eyes I would just start giggling," she continues, sheepishly. "I was like 'Oh I gotta stop this.'"

As for Michael Shannon’s General Zod, Adams is equally effusive, if not quite as flustered. "I only had a couple scenes with him,” she said, “[ but ] he's fantastic. He's terrifying."

Co-starring Russell Crowe, Kevin Costner, Diane Lane and Laurence Fishburne, Man Of Steel opens in the UK on 14 June 2013.
