Replace Rockband 3 with Guitar Hero: WoR..... come on, Guitar Hero came before Rockband!
  • wingsdjy - April 27, 2014 8:10 p.m.

Yes, but..... 1. The guys who created the original PS2 era Guitar Hero went on to create Rock Band 2. Rock Band was the first full-band game (Guitar Hero copied them a year or so later)

It doesn't matter what came first, Rock Band 3 perfected the genre. Guitar Hero's first few entries were great but simply never expanded upon them and went downhill. Rock Band got better and better and better.

I don't know, call me old school but my favourite co-op game has to be the original Toejam and Earl on the Mega Drive.

Left 4 Dead.. I figured that would be number 1. One of the few multiplayer games I easily put a couple hundred hours into. I remember the first time we all played it. The day after Christmas we started playing around noon and before I knew it, It was getting dark in my room, then I looked at the clock and saw 10pm, heh. My reaction was, "Uh, guys, I think we should take a break now.." Portal 2's co-op was a really fun time as well.

I think Halo 3 was my biggest memory on this updated list. I poured plenty of time into MH2 freedom on my vita but there was of course nobody close enough to play with, and for Tri on the wii I played online so that's not exactly co-op. My dad and co-op'd halo 1-3 and borderlands 1. I never got around to playing BL2 while he played it with my bros so we'll co-op that too sometime soon I think. But I saw I said that champions of norrath was on this list at one point I think, so if you removed have sinned.

I like the fact that Borderlands is a co-op based game yet i still like going through it alone :3

I know this site deals primarily with console games but I feel Command and Conquer Red Alert 3 should definitely be on this list. It was the first strategy game to allow you to play through the campaign co-op. Cut scenes and all. The entire story was fully played out too. A truly great game.

Ah, I'm glad somebody mentioned RA3. While the game didn't blow me away the way the first two RA games did, the soundtrack is fantastic and the co-op mode was tons of fun. And as far as I know, the only RTS game out there with a co-op mode.

Actually Command and Conquer 4 was designed from the ground up for co-op play through the whole campaign. Unfortunately CnC 4 sucked!

Thank you for reminding me that I have no friends that I didn't meet on the internet.

Awww House of the Dead 2, the co-op was pretty good especially on the Wii. I wish there was a new House of the Game :(

Dat nostalgia . . . I still remember playing goof troop with my little sister and she would talk all kind of trash at me when i would call max before she could. She would be all like "Did you just kill me? Boy you better run fore respawn and Find myself a switch!" Halfway through the game it would turn iinto a vs game regardless of the enemies and puzzles. I still owe her for slapping the controller out of my hand and stealing that diamond last time we played. Ahh . . .memories
