It's safe to say that Deadpool is one of the most anticipated movies of the year, but that's not stopped fans from worrying about a repeat of X-Men's Wolverine, which saw the merc with a mouth stripped of everything that made him, well... Deadpool.
While everything we've seen so far would suggest the team behind this latest adaptation won't be making the same mistake, the anti-hero himself also promised we can rest easy when he spoke to Total Film magazine for the action special. “There’s something very proprietal and very personal about it for me,” said Ryan Reynolds. “I know what I can put on screen, and I know what I’ve put on screen is something that would make any fanboy proud.”
And he's not the only one who knows how important it is to get Deadpool right this time around. “All anyone cares about in this process is making Deadpool work as much for the fanboys as it does for the uninitiated,” adds Reynolds. Whether you're a die hard fan or a newbie, you're not going to want to miss this: “I can’t wait to unleash it. We’re so, so psyched. You’re definitely going to be happy, that much I can promise...”
Directed by Tim Miller and starring Reynolds, Morena Baccarin, Ed Skrein, Gina Carano, and Brianna Hildebrand, Deadpool opens worldwide February 10, 2016.
