Original Alien cast reunites for Alien: Isolation , Guillermo del Toro announces new black and white creature feature and Firestorm joins The Flash

• The cast of Alien are reuniting to reprise their roles for two Alien: Isolation DLC missions, recreating scenes from the 1979 horror classic. Everyone except Ian Holm will return to voice their original character, including Sigourney Weaver. The Nostromo Edition is available to everyone who pre-orders a physical copy of the game and comes with the Crew Expendable mission, where players step into the shoes of Ripley, Dallas or Parker. The Last Survivor mission will be available at select retailers and tasks you with activating the self destruct mission and escaping the Nostromo as Ripley.

Firestorm has joined DC’s small screen universe. Former Tomorrow People star (and Stephen Amell’s cousin) Robbie Amell has been cast as Ronnie Raymond, better known as Firestorm, in The Flash.

• FOX has unveiled a new trailer and featurette for Batman prequel series Gotham .

• Guillermo del Toro has revealed he plans to make a “really bizarre” black and white creature feature , which starts production early 2015. Not giving away too many details, del Toro said that the film would be very small, and would result in a brief hiatus during pre-production on Pacific Rim 2 , which starts in August.

• A new red band clip has arrived for Luc Besson’s, Lucy . Watch the titular heroine get out of a tight bind.

• Lucasfilm is set to reveal more information about Star Wars Rebels and upcoming extended universe novel Star Wars: A New Dawn at San Diego Comic-Con this month, but has confirmed that Star Wars: Episode VII will not be present.

• House Of Cards ', Kate Lyn Sheil has joined Guy Pearce, Kristen Stewart and Nicholas Hoult in the new sci-fi movie Equals . The film is set in a world where there’s no greed, poverty, violence or emotion, but a new disease is causing depression, sensitivity, fear and love.

• A second short promo has been released for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1

• Sony Pictures Animation has announced a new stop motion/live action feature called Superbago , about two stop motion characters dropped into a live action world. Robot Chicken’s John Harvatine and Eric Towner will direct and Jared Hess, Ellen Goldsmith-Vein and Eric Robinson are signed on as producers.

• The excellent Orphan Black has been renewed for season three. The 10-episode third season will begin production in September 2014.

• The Headless Horseman returns in this season two promo for Sleepy Hollow .
