Oz : Downey Out, Depp Could Be In
Robert Downey Jr has stepped away from starring in the planned Sam Raimi-directed Oz, The Great And Powerful, and Disney is courting Johnny Depp to replace him, according to The Hollywood Reporter . Downey was due to star as a young illusionist with a grandiose attitude who is forced to flee a travelling circus. His hot air balloon is swept up by a tornado to the land of Oz, which is run by two magical wicked witches. Presumably he’s destined to become the infamous Wizard of Oz. Now Disney would love Depp to step into the role, but there’s a question over his availability

Major Change From Book In Final Harry Potter Movie
Okay, we’re not going to repeat this story as it’s a major spoiler if you haven’t read the book, but various sites are reporting a major change that’s taking place in Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows Part Two from the events in the book. Apparently it’s been done with JK Rowling’s full approval. So only click on the link if you really want to know.

Stan Lee’s Cameo in Spider-Man reckons it has the major scoop on Stan Lee’s cameo in the upcoming Spider-Man movie: “The Lizard and Spider-Man will be involved in a huge battle inside a school library. Stan Lee is a librarian fixing up the books.”

Director Exits Pride And Prejudice And Zombies
Variety is reporting that Mike White, the screenwriter behind School Of Rock and Nacho Libre , will now no longer be directing Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, the film based on the cut-and-paste novel by Seth Grahame-Smith. No news on who’ll be taking over.
