New Narcos trailer charts the rise of Pablo Escobar

Netflix has unveiled the first full trailer for Narcos, the network's latest original series which will chart the rise of the brutal Medellin cartel and its leader, the notorious drug lord Pablo Escobar.

Wagner Moura stars as the aforementioned kingpin, with Boyd Holbrook and Game Of Thrones star Pedro Pascal playing real-life DEA agents Steve Murphy and Javier Peña, the men charged with bringing him down. As Holbrook says in his voiceover, "we had no idea what we were in for…"

Striking a neat balance between period gloss and glamour and the bloody realism of the cartel's rise to power, this one looks like another must-watch to add to Netflix's impressive stable of original dramas. Strong moustache game throughout, too… All ten episodes will be available on the network from 28 August 2015.
